I am an experienced clinician with 27 years of practice. I have worked in school, hospital, and clinical settings with groups, individuals, and families. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a veteran of the United States Air Force. I currently work in elementary and middle school settings where I provide support to students and staff to manage behavioral and academic difficulties.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first therapy session is all about connection and understanding. It’s a space where we get to know each other, explore what’s bringing you in, and gather important information that will guide our work together. Think of it as a conversation—one where you can share your story, your concerns, and your goals in a supportive, judgment-free environment. We’ll discuss your background, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the process, so you feel comfortable and confident moving forward. There’s no pressure—this session is simply about laying the foundation for a partnership that is tailored to your needs. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we begin this journey together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a dedicated therapist with a rich background in crisis management, education, and community support, I bring a unique blend of experience and compassion to my work. My service as a U.S. Air Force veteran has instilled in me resilience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face. Having managed crises in a hospital emergency room, I am well-versed in navigating high-pressure situations with empathy and strategic problem-solving. My time in schools has allowed me to support students, teachers, and families, fostering emotional well-being and academic success. Additionally, working within the community has strengthened my commitment to providing direct services, ensuring children and families have access to the resources they need to thrive. With a holistic and client-centered approach, I strive to empower others, helping them navigate life’s challenges with strength and clarity.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a dedicated therapist serving individuals across all ages, I specialize in supporting school-aged children and their parents as they navigate the complexities of academic and behavioral challenges. Whether a child is struggling with focus, emotional regulation, peer relationships, or learning difficulties, I provide a compassionate, solution-focused approach to help them thrive. For parents, I offer guidance in understanding and managing their child’s unique needs, equipping them with practical strategies to foster confidence, structure, and emotional well-being at home and in school. With a deep commitment to creating a supportive and empowering environment, I help families develop the tools they need to overcome obstacles and build a foundation for long-term success. If this resonates with you, let’s work together to unlock potential and create lasting positive change!
