Hi there! My name is Becca, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Pennsylvania. I received my MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and have been practicing since 2018. I am passionate about helping clients who may feel lost or stuck build skills to create a meaningful and empowering life. I draw from a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals.
In our first session, we will review your history, current concerns, and work as a team to set goals for future appointments. We will also decide how frequently to meet. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space to share your thoughts and feelings.
My clients would describe me as kind, genuine, and encouraging.
ACT teaches us skills to respond more flexibly to difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will use tools from ACT to help create a life full of purpose and meaning.
DBT teaches us practical mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance skills.
CBT-i is a structured approach to treating insomnia. We can explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are contributing to low quality sleep and make changes to create a healthy sleep routine.
