LPC, 7 years of experience
I am a Licensed Professional Therapist specializing in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults as an advocate and educator. I earned my M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Villanova University and B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University. My goal is to meet clients where they are emotionally/mentally/spiritually and help them reach the highest potential of themself through collaboration. My techniques are designed to teach clients how to gain a better understanding of themselves to persevere with peace and confidence in their lives. You will notice my positivity and patience at first, then my passion in practice.
Our first session will be a casual conversation where clients can be as expressive as they would like to be. I will have basic background questions to ask, with the intent of leaving time for clients to add additional information they think is best I know for our future framework. Gather all necessary goals: personal, social, relational, and professional. I will explain confidentiality, what you can expect from me, and my hopes for our future work.
My greatest strengths as a provider are being compassionate and patient- never forceful or nonjudgemental. I do not assume or take the client at a faster pace than necessary.
The client I am best positioned to serve are individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, problematic eating behaviors, body image concerns, social struggles, and mood regulation. Populations that I am excited to work with are clients who are eager, willing, and identify their strengths to help guide our sessions. My "dream" client is one who identifies their own goal and is willing to put in the work. My clients are open to learning new coping skills.
The CBT approach is made relevant to your life. CBT tools will be used to help you improve the relationship you have with yourself, in hopes of managing depression and/or anxiety symptoms, building resiliency, and creating a life you want to live. This approach encourages and supports you to reflect on your self core-beliefs and how these manifest through unhelpful behaviors, emotional responses, and physiological responses.

Gabrielle is kind, caring and patient. She does not make you feel judged and she will allow you go in whatever direction you need to go in that day. She is smart and solution oriented, as well as open-minded. You can tell she pays attention, remembers, and takes notes. She will highlight any positives, and notes your progress- even if you don't see it. She allows you to be yourself, good or bad, and gives gentle guidance. She can also keep it light if you need to.
