Hello! I am Christina. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with five years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges, with the last three years focused on trauma and substance use recovery. Since earning my Master of Social Work in 2024, I have remained passionate about creating a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive space for individuals, particularly those within Black and Brown communities and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. I believe deeply in a strengths-based approach, meeting you right where you are while honoring your resilience, agency, and capacity for change because therapy is a partnership. Whether you are navigating overwhelming stress, major life transitions, or the complexities of life through substance use recovery, my goal is to meet you exactly where you are. I recognize that healing is not linear and there is no one foolproof approach to therapy. My primary therapeutic framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping you build psychological flexibility, align with your core values, and move forward even amidst discomfort. Additionally, I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which offers tools to process difficult past experiences and understand how they may be influencing your present.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Specialized Trauma, Recovery & Life Transition Care. Providing a safe space to help you break free from unhelpful patterns, reconnect with your strengths, & move towards a more meaningful life.

You don't have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Wherever you are is where we can begin.

First session

In our first session, we’ll discuss what’s on your mind, explore your goals, and see if we’re a good fit. I will guide the conversation with supportive questions so you feel heard and understood without any pressure. You’ll leave with clarity on our next steps and initial ideas for working toward positive change.

Strengths

In our sessions, you can expect a grounded partnership rooted in authenticity, humor, and active collaboration. Drawing from my background in supporting substance use recovery, I bring a steady resilience-focused lens that honors your inner agency and capacity for growth. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, empowering space where you are truly seen, supported, and equipped to move forward. You’ll hopefully leave with clarity on next steps and ideas for working toward positive change.

Ideal clients

My ideal client are adults navigating major life transitions, working through past traumas of various types such as generational, or working through substance use recovery who feel ready to reconnect with their strengths. You might be feeling overwhelmed by stress, finding yourself stuck in or going back to old patterns, or struggling with maintaining recovery to big changes. My ideal client doesn't need to have all the answers. Only a willingness to show up, be open, and take the steps needed for creating the life they want for themselves.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In our work together, we won't waste time trying to 'fix' or erase your thoughts and feelings. Instead, using ACT, I help you make room for uncomfortable emotions while building a life grounded in your core values. My approach is practical, active, and tailored to your goals.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use TF-CBT to help individuals safely process past trauma, master coping skills for triggers, and rebuild a grounded sense of personal safety.
