LPC, 17 years of experience
Hi, I’m Julie — I’m glad you’re here. Anxiety and depression touch so many of our lives in ways that can feel overwhelming: spiraling thoughts that won’t quiet down, a racing heartbeat, sleepless nights, or pulling away in social situations. These struggles don’t just affect our inner world — they can also add stress and strain to our relationships with coworkers, friends, and family. In therapy, I help people untangle these patterns so they can feel more present, connected, and grounded. When our minds are constantly caught up in the past or worried about the future, it’s hard to truly experience life as it’s happening. Together, we’ll work on practical tools and deeper understanding so you can find more peace, balance, and fulfillment in your day-to-day life.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know what to expect. In our first session, we’ll begin by talking about what brought you here and what you’d like to get out of therapy. We’ll work together to set goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you, so you’ll leave with a clear sense of direction. This session is also a chance for us to get to know each other. You’ll have space to share what feels important, ask questions, and see if this feels like a good fit. From the very beginning, we’ll start the process of understanding your challenges and exploring tools to help you feel more grounded, supported, and empowered in your daily life.
Through a solution-focused approach, we’ll work together to uncover the sources of your stress, clarify your goals, and create practical, achievable steps that move you forward. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts—rather than letting your thoughts control you. Along the way, you’ll build tools you can use in daily life to feel calmer, more confident, and more present.
One of my greatest joys as a therapist is supporting women through the many seasons of life. I frequently work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, and the ups and downs of parenting, offering encouragement and practical support along the way. I also enjoy working with young adults as they explore career options, set meaningful goals, and manage the stresses that come with life after college. Whether it’s finding clarity in next steps or building confidence in decision-making, I help clients feel more grounded and empowered in their journey forward.
I specialize in working with women and young adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, ADHD, and life transitions. Many of my clients are juggling school, careers, relationships, and the pressure to “have it all together,” which can feel overwhelming. I also provide career counseling and support for those facing changes in direction, workplace stress, or big decisions about the future.
