Hello! I'm a Licensed Psychologist based in Pennsylvania. I received my Doctorate from Rutgers University in Counseling Psychology and have been practicing for over 40 years. I help individuals, couples and families dealing with anxiety and depression as well as communication, conflict resolution and anger management issues. Overall, I help all my clients to find the best ways to deal with and resolve the difficulties preventing them from living a full, satisfying and happy life.
The first session will include some brief information and history taking followed by focusing and clearly understanding the issues that bring you to treatment. We will also design a preliminary treatment plan that will give us some initial ideas of what we can work on together in future visits.
I have worked for over 40 years with a wide range of clients and their treatment needs. I feel that I have developed a rich array of skillsets as a Psychologist that will help to quickly identify and design a treatment plan with you that will get us working immediately on helping you with any and all of your concerns.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults either individually, or with significant others (e.g., marriages/couples or other family members, etc.). Many of my clients are very interested in getting professional help to deal with a wide range of challenges that they can't resolve. They often begin therapy feeling overwhelmed and worried about many issues and anxious to finally get started in treatment.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how they affect everyday life, and develop practical strategies for responding to challenges in healthier ways. My goal is to help clients build confidence, manage difficult emotions, and make positive, lasting changes.
I use motivational interviewing to help people explore changes they want to make in their lives without feeling pressured or judged. Rather than simply telling clients what they should do, I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help them discover their own reasons for making positive changes. This collaborative approach helps clients work through uncertainty, build confidence, and develop the motivation to move forward. My goal is to empower individuals to make meaningful, lasting changes that reflect their own values, needs, and personal goals.
I use trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy to help people understand how difficult experiences may still be affecting them, in a safe and supportive space. Together, we work on recognizing painful emotions, challenging negative thought patterns, and developing healthier ways to cope. My goal is to help clients regain a sense of control, build emotional resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and security.
I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judging themselves. Through techniques such as focused breathing and staying present in the moment, I help people manage stress, feel more grounded, and respond to life’s challenges with greater calm and clarity. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and confidence in managing everyday difficulties.
I use acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients handle difficult thoughts and emotions without letting those experiences run their lives. Together we clarify what matters most, practice making room for feelings that can’t always be changed, and take concrete steps aligned with personal values. My goal is to help clients build flexibility, resilience, and a stronger sense of purpose.

Dr. Robbins was disarming in his style. He was reassuring and solutions oriented. I felt secure and feel hopeful that his expertise will help me.

Dr. Robbins took time to get to know me, which served as an icebreaker, but also helped to paint a picture of my situation for him, setting the stage for ongoing sessions.
