I’m a therapist who believes mental health care should feel approachable, supportive, and grounded in genuine human connection. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore challenges without pressure or pretense. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you better understand yourself, your experiences, and your patterns. A balance of empathy and practicality shapes my clinical work. I integrate evidence-based techniques with authentic, real conversations. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we work together to build insight, coping skills, and emotional resilience. In addition to my therapy work, I also work as an ICU nurse, which has deeply influenced my perspective on stress, trauma, and the complexity of being human. That experience allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and realistic understanding of life’s pressures into the therapy room. Outside of work, I value quiet, restorative time. I enjoy working out, staying active, and taking care of my own well-being. I love spending time at home with my husband and our pets, and I’m a big fan of unwinding with a good movie. I believe balance, connection, and moments of calm are essential — not just luxuries — and I often help clients explore how to build more of that into their own lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is designed to feel comfortable, conversational, and welcoming. There is no pressure to tell your entire life story right away. Instead, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, discussing what brings you in, and exploring what you hope to gain from therapy. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace. During this session, I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and goals. You’ll also have space to ask questions about therapy, my approach, and what working together might look like. My priority is helping you feel safe, respected, and understood. Think of the first session as building a foundation. It’s an opportunity to begin forming a therapeutic relationship, clarify expectations, and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. Therapy works best when you feel a sense of trust and connection, and that process begins here.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where people feel genuinely safe, respected, and understood. Many clients come to therapy feeling unsure, guarded, or worried about being judged. I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship that feels human and authentic rather than clinical or distant. I believe meaningful progress begins when you feel comfortable enough to be honest — not only with me, but with yourself. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, allowing therapy to feel like a conversation with purpose rather than an evaluation. Another core strength I bring to my work is the balance between empathy and practicality. Emotional support is essential, but insight alone is not always enough to create change. I help clients not only process their experiences but also develop tangible tools they can use in daily life. Whether we are working on managing anxiety, navigating stress, improving relationships, or building self-confidence, I focus on strategies that feel realistic and sustainable. Therapy should translate into your real world, not remain something that only exists inside the session. My background as an ICU nurse strongly informs my therapeutic perspective. Working in high-stress, high-stakes environments has given me a deep understanding of emotional resilience, trauma, burnout, and the complex ways stress affects the mind and body. I have witnessed firsthand how people cope during moments of crisis, uncertainty, grief, and overwhelm. This experience allows me to remain calm, present, and grounded even when clients are discussing difficult or painful topics. It also helps me normalize the intensity of human emotion. Struggle is not weakness — it is part of being human. I am particularly skilled at helping clients who feel “stuck.” Many people enter therapy knowing something isn’t working but feeling unsure how to move forward. They may feel trapped in patterns of anxiety, avoidance, self-doubt, overthinking, or relationship dynamics that leave them drained. I work collaboratively to identify these patterns, understand their origins, and gently challenge the beliefs or behaviors that maintain them. My style is supportive yet honest. I am not afraid to ask thoughtful questions, reflect observations, or introduce perspectives that encourage growth. A significant strength of my therapeutic approach is adaptability. No two clients are the same, and I do not believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all the

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, anxious, stressed, or navigating change. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and reflective, even if they feel uncertain about therapy or unsure where to begin. You may be someone who carries a lot internally — managing responsibilities, relationships, and expectations — while quietly feeling exhausted, disconnected, or misunderstood. My ideal clients are those who are open to self-exploration, curious about their patterns, and interested in building healthier ways of coping. You do not need to have everything figured out, nor do you need to be in crisis. Therapy can be beneficial whether you’re dealing with long-standing challenges or simply seeking greater balance, clarity, and emotional well-being. I often connect well with people who struggle with anxiety, mood changes, identity questions, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, or life transitions. I also work with clients who want to improve self-esteem, boundaries, emotional regulation, or overall mental resilience. If you’re looking for a therapist who is engaged, supportive, and grounded in real conversation, we may be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach that supports clients in identifying unhelpful patterns and developing effective coping strategies. This method is especially useful for anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My work is grounded in a person-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe healing happens when clients feel genuinely heard and accepted. This approach creates a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, build self-trust, and grow at their own pace.
