Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Pennsylvania, I am also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) in Pennsylvania. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) from the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have been a clinician for 10 years working in all different areas of behavioral health. My job is to help patients on their journey of growth and change so that they may obtain their personal life goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session you can expect it to be about you! I spend a lot of time establishing rapport and getting to know you. A strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation to effective therapy. It creates an atmosphere of safety and trust. This allows us to discuss the unique struggles that you are currently facing as well as gives me the information to create an individualized treatment plan to help you reach your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having the privilege to work with such a diverse patient population, it has allowed for me to develop the tools needed to help in identifying some of the causes to patient concerns. It also allows for me to help in changing targeted behaviors.

My treatment methods

Feminist

This approach is utilized in order to understand the correlation between gender roles and their impact on male and female social development, resiliency, and coping. I use this to help patients to understand the importance on gender roles and gender socialization from childhood and how this impacts our functioning as adults

Attachment-based

Attachments aid in understanding our roles within relationships. It is beneficial to understand attachments in order to identify concerns in relationships. I often use this to aid patients in gaining perspective in their relationships and to find out what drives certain behaviors or feelings

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a great tool that can aid in crisis management and regulation of emotions. I have been trained in the administration of DBT

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a great tool to aid the patient where they are currently in the stages of change. I utilize this tool to help the patient to figure out where in the stages of change they currently are and how to progress in their journey

Polyvagal Therapy

I often utilize this to aid patients in understanding the nervous system and how to retrain the vegas nerve in order to aid in symptom reduction
