Hello! My name is Abby and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the mental/behavioral health field over the course of 10+ years. I am happy that you have stopped by! Many individuals are in the midst of figuring out who they are and what they want; whether you're navigating the complexity of teen or young adulthood, identity exploration, shifting relationships, burn out, and/or going through various life transitions. I truly believe therapy can be a landing space to begin exploring your own internal journey that can lead to further growth and understanding of yourself at your pace. I am a passionate social worker and believe that all individuals deserve the best quality of care for their overall well-being. My treatment approach is relational, client-centered, rooted in trauma-informed care. Utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), my hope is for individuals to feel seen and heard, and develop practical tools, without judgement.

First session

In our first session, we’ll start with introductions, getting to know about each other, and begin to explore the challenges you’re experiencing. We will discuss about the goals you would like to set for yourself to begin your meaningful journey towards self-healing and change.

Strengths

I bring openness and appreciation to diverse lived experiences. Whether you are new to seeking therapy or returning, you do not need to navigate it alone. When you are ready, we can take the first step together to begin sharing your story. I look forward to meeting you!

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with young adults coming into adulthood, and adults who are learning to navigate various life transitions such as different kinds of relationships, identity exploration, self-esteem, developing autonomy, grief/loss, and self-doubt. I love to empower clients to feel heard and seen and those who are ready to challenge their own internal needs. I seek to build on my client’s strengths, and to become more of their authentic self. Therapy is a collaborative relationship with you in the driver seat, along your own healing journey. Are you ready to take the wheel?

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients with identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and how these patterns may be connected to the emotions and behaviors individuals experience. Unhelpful patterns can sometimes fuel an individual’s anxiety, depression, and/or self-doubt, etc. Utilizing CBT techniques and walking away with practical tools can help individuals become unstuck, and take more steps towards the change you want to see for yourself.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I come from a person-centered approach with individuals across the lifespan. A person-centered approach to therapy is an opportunity to help individuals seek and gain more awareness, self-confidence and build a stronger sense of their authentic self. This kind of approach can also help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and other various life circumstances. I truly believe clients are in the driver seat, and with a little encouragement from the navigator, drivers can get to their destination, no matter where that is.
