I’m Jessica, and I’m so glad you are here. I am a Christian but work with people of any faith or none at all. I work with teens, young adults, women, and couples- whether you are navigating trauma, childhood wounds, harmful or unhelpful relationship patterns, toxic workplaces, church hurt (without having to lose your faith), parenting, and betrayal/infidelity. I'm passionate about working with people who are ready to understand their patterns, do the hard work of growth, and move toward healing. We’re shaped by both our wounding and our wiring. Because of that, I use a trauma-informed AND attachment-based approach to help you understand where your patterns come from and create meaningful change through EMDR, inner child work, IFS, and memory reconsolidation, integrating your spirituality if you would like. With couples, I draw from Gottman-informed methods to rebuild connection and intimacy.

Hi, I’m Judy. I’ve been a counselor for over 20 years, and I enjoy getting to know people beyond the problems that bring them to therapy. People spend a lot of their lives being told how to be. I ask questions, share observations, and appreciate a little humor along the way. You don’t have to know where to start. We can figure that out together.

My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

My goal is to help you not only manage difficult seasons, but also cultivate deeper self-understanding, resilience, and compassion for yourself. I'm Carmela Byus, LPCC-S, LICDC, a licensed mental health and substance use clinician who has been helping individuals navigate life's challenges since 2012. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. Every person has a unique story, and healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. My approach is compassionate, person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed. I recognize that our experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and attachment patterns can shape how we see ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others. I work with individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use concerns, low self-worth, relational difficulties, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping individuals understand how past experiences, attachment wounds, and learned patterns may influence their emotional well-being and relationships today. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges, recognize your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with your sense of identity and purpose. I believe our past experiences may shape us, but they do not have to define our future. Through understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful connection, healing and personal growth are possible. In my practice as a licensed therapist, I support folks moving through burnout, anxiety, and big life transitions within a welcoming, neuroaffirming space. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Toledo. I have been working with individuals and communities since 1998 and became independently licensed in 2011. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. My experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families, particularly people who are marginalized, underserved, unhoused, or living with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring conditions. Much of my clinical work has centered on individuals impacted by significant trauma, including complex and generational trauma. I recognize that mental health concerns rarely exist in isolation. Trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and other life stressors can intersect in complex ways. I am also interested in helping clients explore patterns in their relationships with food, body image, social media, technology, and other aspects of daily life that may affect emotional well-being, self-esteem, and connection with others. My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and relational principles, influenced by Carl Rogers and Virginia Satir. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, adapting these approaches to each client's individual experiences, strengths, needs, and goals.

Hi, I’m Brittany, an LISW in Ohio, wife, and mom of three with a heart for supporting women through the many seasons and transitions of life. I’m especially passionate about women’s and maternal mental health and creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. I’m the founder of Selah Maternal Wellness, a virtual private practice where I work with women navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, life transitions, relationships, identity, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the everyday challenges that come with carrying so many roles. While maternal mental health holds a special place in my heart, my work is not limited to motherhood. I welcome women in all stages of life who are looking for a space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on meeting you where you are. I also offer Christian counseling and faith-based therapy for women who would like to incorporate their faith into their healing journey, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs and preferences. The name Selah reflects much of what I hope to offer through this work—a moment to pause, reflect, breathe, and reconnect. As women, we can spend so much time caring for everyone and everything around us that we forget we need care, too! Beyond individual therapy, I offer local workshops and group sessions to help women and moms connect, learn, and build supportive community. I’m also currently working toward my PMH-C certification to deepen my ability to support women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Whether through individual therapy, faith-based support, workshops, or groups, my hope is for Selah to be a place where women can pause, feel supported, reconnect with who they are, and know they don’t have to navigate life alone.

I believe counseling should feel like a real conversation with someone who is genuinely invested in helping you move forward. My approach is supportive, direct, practical, and holistic, looking at the whole person rather than simply focusing on symptoms. A big part of my work involves helping clients identify the beliefs, thought patterns, and experiences that may be shaping how they see themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they face. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-doubt, relationship concerns, and performance-related challenges. I also have a strong interest in working with athletes around pressure, confidence, identity, setbacks, and the mental side of performance. Together, we work toward creating greater self-awareness, developing healthier beliefs and coping strategies, and building the confidence to make meaningful and lasting change,

Are you grinding through days feeling down, empty, burned out, or like you just can’t keep doing this? Do you feel a heaviness inside that keeps coming back and makes everything harder? Are you so used to bottling up your emotions that you can hardly remember a time when you didn’t just keep everything inside? You might believe deep down that you are broken, that it’s your fault you feel this way, and you will always need to hide who you really are and what you really feel from others. Or maybe life or a relationship has just gotten really hard lately, and you don’t know where to go from here.

I grew up in the Cleveland area and then came to Michigan where I completed my Bachelor's degree at Hope College where I studied social work. While in school I completed a field placement working as a probation officer and spent time in Mental Health and Sobriety Treatment Court. After graduation, my now husband and I moved back to Cleveland where I completed my Masters in Social Work with a specialization in Health Studies at Case Western Reserve University. While in school I completed internships with the Cleveland Clinic in their Adolescent Psychiatric Unit as well as an interdisciplinary internship at Care Alliance. Following graduation, I worked in admissions for psychiatric and detox services for six years. I then wanted to expand my skill set and pursued a position providing therapy to health care employees as an EAP counselor at a local hospital system. I found that I really love the opportunity to get to know my clients and to walk alongside them on their journey.

# Welcome to The Unraveling Room. For more than 25 years, I have worked in community mental health, crisis intervention, and hospital-based psychiatric practice. I've learned something along the way: **People are complicated.** I'm comfortable there. Maybe your story includes trauma, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, chronic pain, complex medical conditions, or functional seizures (PNES). Maybe you've collected diagnoses, medications, specialists, and years of therapy—and still feel that no one quite understands the whole story. **You are not a diagnosis.** And you are not a problem waiting for the right therapeutic technique. You are a story. I don't fear your anger. Your intensity. Your contradictions. Your messy history. Or the part of your story you've been afraid to say out loud. **Bring it.** I am an active therapist. I listen deeply, but I also ask questions. I notice patterns. I make connections. I challenge when I believe it matters. We may laugh. We may work on practical skills. And sometimes we will sit together with something neither of us can fix. Medication can be an important tool. Medical care matters. When appropriate, I will collaborate with your psychiatric or medical providers. But **the relationship matters.** Twenty-five years of experience cannot replace what happens between two people in a therapy room. And I am not the therapist for everyone. If you want someone to mostly listen, I may not be your therapist. But if you want someone willing to enter the labyrinth with you—to ask difficult questions, follow unexpected turns, and stay when things get uncomfortable—we might fit. Our lives are patterns woven from countless threads. Some we chose. Some were handed to us. Some held us together. Some became knots. **We don't unravel you.** We unravel the pattern. **Bring your story. Bring the threads.** Let's see where they lead.

Greetings! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and have worked with offenders, anger management clients, couples, teens and adults struggling with ADHD, anxiety and depression. Through a strengths based approach, my clients learn more about themselves thus improving self-confidence, communication, mood and overall outlook on life. I love serving my teen and couples clients via the Gallup strengths test. This test helps individuals understand where their energy is highest and what they value most. It's not about "strengths", but values. I believe one of the best things we can do for ourselves is take the time to truly understand ourselves as this helps us learn to communicate effectively, be productive, overcome procrastination and more. This is one tool of many I enjoy using to help my clients.

Hi, I'm Richelle. I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with over ten years of experience helping individuals improve their mental health and quality of life. I have worked in a variety of settings, including online therapy. Right now, life may feel hard. You’ve faced many challenges that seemed to have come out of nowhere, and you're constantly doing your best to navigate through them. You struggle to set healthy boundaries and often feel overwhelmed. Asking for help isn't always easy. You may say to yourself, “What will people think? I can figure it out on my own.” It’s tough because you usually go at it alone, carrying the load and bearing the burden. However, deep down inside, you know that something isn't quite right and that you could use some support. Does this sound familiar? As someone who has been there before, I understand how tough it can be to take that first step to reach out. While you may feel like you have to handle everything yourself, these are the times when reaching out for help can give you some direction and help you find your path forward. The truth is, it takes strength and courage to say, “I need help.” And when you do, you'll find that you have the inner strengths and abilities to make meaningful change in your life. Together, we can work to discover those strengths and create a path forward that's tailored to your unique needs and goals.

My name is Jeffrey, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, and a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I have also been an ordained Lutheran pastor since 1989. My professional career began as an Associate Pastor in a Lutheran church in northwest Ohio, where I focused on youth ministry, Christian Education, and pastoral counseling. I entered Social Work in 1995 when I began work as a Family Worker in a residential facility for hard to place juvenile offenders, and then worked in a few outpatient counseling agencies providing mental health and substance use disorder services. I have experience working with people of all ages on general mental health issues, such as managing depression and anxiety, and have specialized in the areas of PTSD recovery and domestic violence and sexual abuse victims and offenders. Throughout my counseling career, I have maintained activity in ministry. I was trained in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and also have had training as a Spiritual Director. My counseling approach is generally non-directive, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a Solution Focused, Client Centered frame work. I can incorporate spirituality as much or as little as the client desires, from not referencing spirituality at all to fully engaging the spiritual dimension of life. As a caring, empathetic listener, people find it easy to talk with me and be open about what needs attention in their lives. I look forward to working with you!

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here and making this decision to try something new (and maybe a little scary!) Current availability is mornings/early afternoons at this time (no late afternoon or evening availability). Therapy can truly be a sacred space. It's a place that can absolutely change your life, if you allow your self the time and space to heal. My focus is to see you as uniquely you: the good, the bad, and the sometimes ugly. I believe we all have inherent value and worth, and I strive to see this in every single person, including you! We may have some changes we need to make and some behaviors we have to part ways with, but through this healing journey, I want you to know how valued and loved you are. To embrace life again like we were meant to. To forgive others and learn to let go. To change what you can and find peace with what you can't. I operate from a trauma-informed perspective - recognizing how the past has changed the way we see ourselves and those around us. I look at how early life experiences impact our relationships, attachments, emotions, motivation, and joy. I incorporate mindfulness to help with regulation and utilize psychoeducation to understand that what happened in the past can't be changed, but we have the ability to pursue healing and growth regardless. I am self-pay only for couples sessions ($125/session).

I work primarily with teens and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and everyday stressors that can make life feel harder than it seems like it should. My approach is collaborative, combining genuine understanding with practical tools that can help you feel more confident and capable in your daily life. Most importantly, I want therapy to be a space where you feel heard, accepted, and comfortable being yourself while we work toward meaningful change.

I am an art therapist and LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Supervisor). I have been working in the mental health and addiction world for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of joining forces with children from the age of 3, to children the age of 87. I come from a family that has a long line of veterans and first responders. I have a strong passion for supporting our veterans and first responders but am open to partnering with anyone wanting assistance in life. I welcome any in person sessions as I am very much an empath and thrive when I can feel each person’s emotions in person. I own my own practice, Freedom Wellness Center LLC, in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The link to my website is at the bottom of this page. If you have Medicaid insurance, you must contact me first to schedule an appointment with me. I have had a high amount of people not showing for their appointments and had to put a hold on all new Medicaid referrals until I can speak to you in person first to ensure you are serious about attending your appointments.

Hi, I’m Ashley therapist, animal lover, creative soul, and lifelong daydreamer. I bring a warm and down-to-earth approach to my work, and I believe that connection, curiosity, and authenticity are at the heart of healing. When I’m not in session, you can usually find me lost in a good book especially fantasy, romantasy, or dark romance (I’m a proud BookTok girly). Some of my favorite reads have come straight from client recommendations. I always love hearing what’s on your bookshelf. I’m also a big fan of all things crafty. Paper crafting is my go-to especially junk journals and mini albums but I’ve dabbled in wreaths, t-shirts, and tumblers. My creativity also spills into my love of music, which spans from Sleep Token to George Strait to Eminem. I’m always up for discovering new bands or catching a local show. On slower days, I love wandering through antique stores and thrift shops. Most of my home is decorated with pieces that have a story either found secondhand or passed down through family. I find comfort in giving old things new life. Animals have always been a grounding force in my world. I’ve been riding horses since I was four, and my heart horse, Kirby, is my trail buddy and snack-sharing best friend (she’s a big fan of applesauce and cupcakes). My two dogs, Oliver and Dottie, are certified therapy dogs who’ve joined me in visits to hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and children’s reading programs. Together, Kirby, Oliver, and Dottie inspired the name Free to Wander Counseling, a reflection of my belief that healing often begins when we allow ourselves to explore, play, and connect in gentle, open-hearted ways. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here just as you are.

I graduated with my Masters in Social Work and Trauma Certificate from Simmons University in 2022. I previously worked as a crisis counselor providing care to both adults as well as children and families. During this time I saw a small caseload of adult clients until 2024 before transitioning to working as a community based therapist providing care to youth with problematic sexual behaviors. In 2025 I started to build up my caseload of EMDR clients and transitioned to office based work. I am extremely passionate about my work with EMDR and will nerd out when given the opportunity to share it. I take a holistic approach when working with clients and try to bring in body based and ego state techniques as well. I like to help make my clients feel that we are on equal footing (because P.S. I am also human) and recognize that they are the expert in their life and know themselves best. I do my best to be as transparent as possible without crossing boundaries. It is my priority when working with clients is to support them in a way that helps them feel comfortable and safe to explore themselves and achieve their goals.
