LCSW, 13 years of experience
My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.
Our first session will be a chance to get to know one another. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, as well as your preferences, goals, and hopes for the process. I’ll also share more about how I work, so we can create a plan together that feels supportive and effective for you.
What truly sets me apart is my use of creativity in the therapeutic process—whether through conversation, movement, or expressive techniques—to help clients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and inner world. With over a decade of experience, I specialize in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable. I help people break big goals into manageable steps so progress feels realistic and empowering.
If you’re curious about trying new ways to understand yourself while still having space for conversation, I may be a good fit for you. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to blending traditional talk therapy with creative, experiential approaches. My style is warm, engaging, and collaborative, and I strive to make sessions both meaningful and exploratory.
As a registered drama therapist, I have used role plays, puppets, scene work and other experiential activities to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings and interpersonal relationships.
