(he/him)
Starting therapy can be hard work, but it doesn't have to be. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I take a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Please feel welcome to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself.
Our first session is more informal than other sessions. The first session is based around information gathering, any assessment measures, and creating a treatment plan tailored to your goals in therapy.
One of my greatest strengths is my person-centered approach which gives clients the space to work through issues in session. Another strength is being able to spot client issues quickly which can lead to faster treatment results.
Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and self-doubt? I work with adults who are managing anxiety, trauma, and grief, and those seeking support for self-esteem issues. No matter what you're working through, I’ll work with you to create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy approach primarily used to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories. It involves having the client recall traumatic events while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, which is believed to help the brain reprocess and integrate the memories in a less distressing way. EMDR does not require clients to talk in detail about the trauma, and it focuses on changing the emotional response associated with the memory rather than altering the memory itself. This therapy has been shown to be effective in treating PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related conditions.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a modified type of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. DBT was originally intended to treat borderline personality disorder (BPD), but it has been adapted to treat other mental health conditions. It can help people who have difficulty with emotional regulation or are exhibiting self-destructive behaviors (such as eating disorders and substance use disorders). This type of therapy is also sometimes used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative thoughts have a detrimental influence on mood. Through CBT, these thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes psychological flexibility through six core processes: acceptance, cognitive defusion, being present, self-as-context, values clarification, and committed action. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings, ACT encourages individuals to accept them as natural parts of life, while committing to actions aligned with their personal values. By fostering mindfulness and acceptance, ACT helps individuals reduce the impact of negative thoughts and emotions on their behavior, promoting a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
