Hello, I am Mande. I have 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I love working with individuals helping them to meet their best version of themselves and their life. Do you ever feel alone, as if no one understands how challenging life can be? Does it feel like everyone else has it figured out? Is it confusing how they are managing life challenges? I would love to have the opportunity to help connect and express yourself. I find it helpful to look at life outside of social media and look at the reality of life and its challenges. There are many skills that are helpful in regulating your nervous system, challenging negative beliefs and increasing self-care.
In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) which is used to help individuals recognize and challenging thinking patterns. I often use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist in gaining the needed skills in various areas of one's life; The present, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationship skills. I have experience utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which assisted individuals in processing traumatic experiences, strengthen positive adaptive beliefs and decrease negative core beliefs.
My greatest strength is compassion, understanding, and empathy. I have had many years of experience in community mental health, child welfare and private practice.
I enjoy working with individuals who are eager to be in counseling to find the support and skills that will be helpful.

They are super helpful, they really care about their patients. They take the time to understand and are never judgmental. A solution finder, helps you get out of your comfort zone, set boundaries, and see things in a different perspective!

Mandy put me immediately at ease to talk about myself: goals, struggles, and victories. She pointed out things I am doing well and asked wonderfully specific, empathetic, and probing questions to get to know me better. I am so looking forward to our next session. :)
