New to Grow
Hi, I’m Lisa Knight, LPCC. I’m passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, whether that’s coping with trauma, managing anxiety or depression, or adjusting to difficult transitions. I believe every person has the capacity to heal and grow, and I focus on helping you build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward your personal goals. My approach is both compassionate and practical, tailored to each person’s unique journey. In our work together, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be heard and understood, explore your feelings and experiences, and gain tools to make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. I aim to empower you to feel stronger, more confident, and equipped to handle whatever comes your way.
During our first session, we’ll get to know each other and explore what brought you to counseling. I’ll ask about your goals, challenges, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll start building a plan that fits your needs and make sure you feel comfortable and supported. This session is a safe space to share openly, ask questions, and begin taking steps toward positive change.
I bring compassion, patience, and practical guidance to every session. I’m skilled at helping clients navigate trauma, life transitions, and emotional challenges with evidence-based strategies that are tailored to their unique needs. Clients often say they feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach blends empathy with actionable tools so you can grow, heal, and thrive.
I am best positioned to serve children, adolescents, and families who are navigating trauma, emotional or behavioral challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to process their experiences, but have a desire to grow and find stability. I work well with individuals who are open to support and ready to build healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships within their family system.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and trauma-informed care in my practice as an LPCC. I apply these methods by helping clients identify thought and behavior patterns, build coping skills, and process past experiences in a safe, supportive environment.
