Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, relaxed, and judgment-free environment. I’ve worked in community agencies, private practice, and with military families, giving me experience supporting children, teens, and adults through concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, self-esteem struggles, and major life transitions. As a military spouse myself, I understand firsthand how overwhelming transitions, deployments, and constant change can feel. I bring both personal understanding and professional training into my work, including specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, with a focus on helping you feel safe, understood, and empowered while building practical tools for everyday life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel a little awkward or nerve-wracking, and that’s completely okay. In our first session, we’ll mostly focus on getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current stressors, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. We’ll also go over confidentiality, answer any questions you have, and start figuring out what goals make the most sense for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and able to show up as yourself without feeling judged. You may also meet Willow, my therapy dog in training, who joins some sessions to provide comfort and a calming presence. Some clients love having her around, while others prefer not to, and that’s totally okay too. Your comfort and preferences will always come first.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves. Therapy can already feel awkward or intimidating enough, so I focus on helping clients feel safe, supported, heard, and never judged. I bring warmth, empathy, and humor into sessions when it fits, while still helping clients work toward real growth and change. I’m especially passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, ADHD, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, and that overwhelming feeling of trying to keep everything together all the time. I’m good at helping break things down into smaller, manageable steps so things feel less overwhelming and more doable. I also really believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative. You’re the expert on your life, and my role is to help support, guide, and give you tools that actually fit you and your life. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach, so I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, personality, and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with both adults and kids/teens, and I love helping people at any stage feel a little more understood and a lot less stuck. I work best with adults who are ready to make a change, even if they’re not quite sure what that change looks like yet. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Some are navigating big life transitions—becoming a parent, moving due to military life, starting a new career, or facing relationship stress. Others are carrying the weight of past trauma and are ready to start healing so they can feel more present and connected in their lives. With kids and teens, concerns often show up differently — big feelings, shutdowns, behavior changes, school stress, friendship struggles, or difficulty expressing what’s going on inside. I use developmentally appropriate approaches (including play, creativity, and skill-building) to help them feel safe, understood, and better able to communicate and regulate their emotions. My clients don’t have to have it all figured out—I don’t expect you to show up with answers. What matters most is a willingness to show up for yourself (or your child) and be open to the process. I’m here to walk alongside you, help you untangle what feels heavy, and support you in building healthier ways of coping, relating, and moving forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is my primary focus. I find it particularly effective for addressing issues like anxiety, depression, and stress. Through CBT, we’ll explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, equipping you with practical tools to challenge negative patterns and foster a more positive outlook.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is a structured, evidence-based therapy specifically designed to help individuals dealing with trauma and PTSD. It focuses on how traumatic experiences impact thoughts and feelings, and aims to challenge and modify unhelpful beliefs that may arise as a result of those experiences. CPT is an empowering journey that not only addresses the aftermath of trauma but also helps you build a stronger sense of self. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

EMDR

EMDR is a dynamic therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma and distressing memories. It’s an effective approach that uses bilateral stimulation—often through guided eye movements—to help rewire how memories are stored in the brain. EMDR can be a transformative experience, helping you not just cope with trauma but thrive beyond it. I’m here to support you on this journey towards healing and resilience!

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT is a specialized, evidence-based treatment designed to help children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions to support emotional healing and resilience. TF-CBT is designed to empower children and their families, helping them move forward with strength and resilience. I’m here to support your family on this journey toward healing!
