New to Grow
I've spent my career working with individuals to challenge and change unwanted thought patterns and behaviors. I understand that starting therapy can be scary. I work hard to build a safe, non-judgemental space for my client's to feel seen and supported. Outside of therapy, I love being with my family and our rescue pittie, reading, hiking, and drinking lots of coffee. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and consider me as your therapist, I hope we can work together towards making positive change.
Our first session together will be focused on building the foundation of our therapeutic relationship. I want you to feel safe, understood, and trusting of me, and I know that trust needs to be earned. I like to spend some time getting to know you, learning about what made you decide to start therapy, and discussing what you hope to work toward together.
I strongly believe in CBT as an effective (and evidence-based) therapeutic approach, and I practice the skills I've learned in my own education and from my own therapy.
I specialize in working with adults and young adults navigating issues such as: - Anxiety - Depression - Eating Disorders - Low Self Esteem - Grief
While using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help individuals gain a deeper understanding of the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with my clients to reframe negative thinking, develop practical coping strategies, and build confidence in themselves. All of this improves their ability to move past obstacles, manage and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, and take more control over their emotions.
