As a therapist, I provide a compassionate and supportive space for women, college students, and healthcare professionals who are struggling with OCD, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, and stress-related concerns. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to manage intrusive thoughts, emotional exhaustion, and the pressure to constantly meet expectations while trying to care for yourself and others. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals. I strive to help clients build confidence, develop healthier coping strategies, and feel more empowered in their daily lives. Through therapy, clients can learn to manage anxiety more effectively, strengthen their sense of self-worth, and create meaningful, lasting change that supports both emotional well-being and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first therapy session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. We will review intake paperwork and complete any necessary assessments to better understand your current concerns, symptoms, and personal history. This session is also an opportunity for you to share your goals, ask questions, and talk about what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we will begin identifying your strengths, challenges, and priorities so we can develop a treatment approach that feels personalized and meaningful to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach as a therapist is my ability to combine compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based treatment to create a supportive and empowering therapeutic experience. I have over six years of experience working with individuals struggling with OCD and utilize specialized approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, ACT, and DBT to help clients better manage intrusive thoughts, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and behavioral patterns that interfere with daily life. In addition to my work with OCD, I am certified in working with ADHD and am also a certified DBT therapist. My approach is collaborative and individualized, meaning I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal client may be a woman navigating the challenges of OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, or low self-esteem while trying to balance the demands of school, work, relationships, or caregiving roles. She may be a college student feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure and uncertainty about the future, or a healthcare worker experiencing burnout, chronic stress, and difficulty prioritizing her own emotional well-being. She is seeking a supportive, compassionate space to better understand herself, develop healthier coping strategies, and build confidence in managing intrusive thoughts, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. Through therapy, she hopes to feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with the life she wants to create.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or fighting them. I will guide clients in ways to notice their internal experiences with mindfulness, identify personal values, and commit to behaviors that align with those values even in the presence of discomfort. Interventions often include cognitive defusion exercises, acceptance strategies, and values clarification to help clients respond more effectively to stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. During sessions, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize patterns in thinking, develop healthier cognitive responses, and practice coping strategies through structured exercises and homework assignments. CBT often includes behavioral interventions such as activity scheduling, exposure techniques, and problem-solving skills to reinforce positive change and improve daily functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I implement Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by teaching clients practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. In sessions, I help clients identify emotional triggers, validate their experiences, and practice healthier coping strategies to manage intense emotions and reduce impulsive behaviors. DBT also emphasizes balancing acceptance and change by encouraging clients to acknowledge their current struggles while working toward meaningful behavioral improvements.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is implemented by gradually helping clients confront feared thoughts, situations, or triggers while resisting the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors or avoidance. During sessions, I collaborate with clients to create an exposure hierarchy and practice tolerating anxiety in a safe and supportive environment. Over time, ERP helps clients build distress tolerance, reduce obsessive fears, and learn that anxiety naturally decreases without relying on compulsions or reassurance-seeking behaviors.
