Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients work on identifying their goals and creating coping skills around triggers. We will work to identify trouble patterns and create safe pathways through those.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in working with clients who are ready to overcome old patterns and have the insight and awareness to seek new patterns. I allow the client to be an expert in their own healing journey and together we can co-construct a new narrative to guide their life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Couples and individuals who want to focus on overcoming challenging family patterns. Specific interest in dealing with Anxiety, exposure to trauma and toxic family systems.

I went to her for feeling lost and down. She helped me figure stuff out and directed me. She’s very open minded and good listener as well as being intelligent and solve problems

I really like how Joni asks questions that relate to why I'm working with her. She redirects me back to what we need to uncover and understands me! I appreciate her!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have trained extensively on CBT for adults and adolescents. I use it to help clients connect their feelings and beliefs with their actions and behaviors. Many clients who struggle with anxiety and depression find it particularly helpful.

Somatic

I have trained in somatic work. I integrate mindfulness and somatic work into almost all of my sessions to allow clients to develop positive coping skills and connect their mind and body to further deepen their understanding of self.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I recently completed several months of training in the ACT methodology. ACT is empirically support and evidenced based. As a practice it can help people experience increased emotional flexibility, and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD.
