Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in New Jersey. I received my Masters in Psychological Counseling as well as my Post-Master’s Certification in Professional Counseling from Monmouth University. I have been practicing for 22 years in numerous settings including Partial Hospital Program, OPBH at a general hospital, private practice in office settings and virtual platforms. I worked with adults only and have experience in individual, group, marriage/couples and family therapy.
Throughout my career, I have championed family life, serving people of all ages (children, adolescents, adults, seniors) and phases (single, married, parenting, empty nesters, retired, managing chronic health diagnoses). We are wired for connection, but challenges arise when we struggle to keep relationships stable. Life can be overwhelming without the right supports and tools. My goal as a therapist is to help clients maintain wellness in all areas of life. How we think and feel shapes our reality, and I will help you embrace what helps and release what no longer serves you. Hi. My name is Christine Toler, Chris, and I earned my Ed.S and LPC- MHSP in the state of Tennessee, New Jersey and Delaware. I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2010, and a School Counselor since 2006.
I started being a believer in therapy when it first helped me over forty years ago, (as a child). I thought what a wonderful way to get to the root of the problem... and get rid of it. Since then, I have been working on myself as a client as well as acquiring a licensure to help others, including teens, adults and families. I focus on solution based and non-judgmental cognitive therapy. I believe understanding a problem is not the end of the work. (unfortunately)
The action we take to support a positive change... is what changes lives. And while I have experienced that in some very important areas... I continue to grow... daily. I choose to be transparent about that because I believe it is important to the work that my clients know I understand how it feels to be in their chair.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, doubt, guilt, grief, or all of the above, I believe I can help you.
Hello, thank you for learning more about me and how we might work together

It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that our professional relationship will be terminated after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client. Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).
