Hi, I’m May Elkady, a licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping adults and teens who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or weighed down by past experiences. I support clients in understanding their emotions, breaking old patterns, and creating more balance and clarity in their lives. My goal is to provide a calm, grounding space where you can heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you and understand what’s been weighing on you. You don’t need to prepare anything or have the perfect words — I’ll guide the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we’ll explore your goals, your current challenges, and what support looks like for you. My priority is helping you feel safe, heard, and grounded from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a calm, safe space where clients feel seen without judgment. I’m skilled at helping people untangle complex emotions, understand their patterns, and learn how to regulate their nervous system in practical, meaningful ways. My experience working with trauma, anxiety, and depression allows me to support clients with compassion while also guiding them toward real, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, emotionally drained, or overwhelmed by anxiety and depression. They often carry their stress quietly and push through life even when they feel disconnected or exhausted. They’re looking for relief, clarity, and a therapist who can help them untangle their emotions and rebuild a sense of balance and hope.

May is simply the best. I've only been working with her for a little over a month and the progress we've made is something I never could have imagined for myself. May knows how to get to the root of the problem, how to help you process your thoughts and emotions, AND she teaches you so much wonderful skills and techniques. (and so much more). She is very gentle but honest. I was very nervous about starting therapy, but May is so good at what she does that I look forward to our sessions.

May gives me the space to talk about my emotions and takes the time to walk me through them and come up with solutions that will work best for me!
