New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned my master’s degree from Widener University, where I completed an internship focused on implementing trauma-informed care in a youth program. I have been in private practice for the past two years and have worked in the mental health field in varying capacities for over fifteen years. My background includes working in group homes and supporting families at the county level in navigating services such as waivers, Intensive Case Management (ICM), and children’s services. I am passionate about meeting clients where they are in life and creating a safe, supportive space that allows for both vulnerability and strength.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and what you’d like to get out of our work together. This is also your chance to ask me questions and share what feels most important to you. The first session is less about diving straight into solutions and more about creating a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll start shaping goals and laying the foundation for a plan that fits your needs and values.
Having worked in a variety of settings with clients across the lifespan, I bring the ability to connect on a deeper and more meaningful level. I see each individual for who they truly are, without judgment or stereotypes, and create a safe, supportive, and compassionate space for healing, self-discovery, exploration, and lasting personal growth.
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, processing trauma, or managing anxiety and depression, therapy can help you find clarity and resilience. I work with adults (18+) who want a compassionate, collaborative space to process emotions, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
As a DBT-certified therapist, I use the model’s structured framework to support clients who struggle with emotion regulation, interpersonal challenges, and impulsive behaviors. I integrate the four DBT skill areas—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—into sessions and provide clients with strategies to use in their daily lives. DBT has been particularly impactful with clients facing intense anxiety, depression, or relationship stress.
I use CBT as a structured, evidence-based way to help clients challenge negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. Together, we identify automatic thoughts, test their accuracy, and practice new behaviors. This approach has been especially effective with clients experiencing anxiety and depression, giving them practical tools for daily life.
With my CCTP certification, I bring specialized training in trauma-informed care. I help clients understand how trauma impacts the brain and body, and I integrate evidence-based techniques—such as grounding, mindfulness, and stabilization strategies—to reduce symptoms like hypervigilance, anxiety, or emotional dysregulation.
