Hello, and welcome. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in New Jersey with nearly 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and move toward healing. I know that reaching out for support isn't always easy, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you're coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to face it alone. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with survivors of trauma and abuse, helping them process difficult experiences, build resilience, and rediscover their strengths. I've also worked with people facing a wide range of mental health concerns, and one thing I've learned is that every person's story is unique. Because of that, I believe therapy should be personalized, collaborative, and centered around your goals. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and evidence-based. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I strive to help you better understand yourself, build practical coping skills, and develop the confidence to create meaningful, lasting change. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, empowered, and supported every step of the way. Beyond my work with clients, I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and helping make quality mental health care more accessible in our communities. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey. Wherever you are today, my hope is that together we can build on your strengths, overcome life's challenges, and help you create a future that feels healthier, more balanced, and more fulfilling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an initial assessment where I gather essential information about background, current concerns and relevant history (e.g., medical, psychological, social). My goal is to create a space where you will feel comfortable to share your story, experiences, and perspective at your pace and level of comfort. Collaboratively we establish goals for counseling based on needs, desires, and what you hope to achieve. Through a combination of strength-based approaches, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and trauma-informed care, I empower clients to take control of their healing journey. Whether it's through virtual play therapy for children or personalized psychoeducation for adults, my goal is to equip individuals with the skills and insights they need to thrive.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Over the years, I've learned that healing looks different for everyone. My role is to meet you where you are, understand your unique experiences, and support you as you work toward the life you want to build. Some of the ways I support my clients include: A compassionate understanding of trauma Trauma can affect every part of life, including relationships, emotions, and the way we see ourselves. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can process your experiences at your own pace and begin moving forward. Personalized, evidence-based care I use proven therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Together, we'll find the strategies that best fit your needs and goals. A collaborative approach to growth I believe therapy is a partnership. We'll work together to build on your strengths, develop healthy coping skills, increase self-confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change. Respect for your unique story Every person's background, culture, and life experiences matter. I strive to create an inclusive, respectful environment where you feel seen, valued, and understood. Supporting growth beyond the therapy room Healing doesn't stop when a session ends. My goal is to help you develop practical tools and confidence that you can carry into your everyday life, relationships, and future challenges. One of the greatest rewards of my work has been seeing clients discover their resilience, strengthen their relationships, and build lives filled with greater hope, confidence, and purpose. I would be honored to support you as you take the next steps in your own journey.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

My approach to Strengths-Based Therapy is centered on helping clients recognize and build upon the strengths, skills, and resilience they already possess. While challenges and difficult experiences are an important part of the healing process, I believe lasting change happens when people learn to see themselves through the lens of their capabilities rather than their limitations. In our work together, we'll identify your personal strengths, past successes, values, and existing resources, then use those as a foundation for growth and healing. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to set meaningful goals, develop practical coping strategies, and create solutions that fit your unique needs and circumstances. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. My goal is to help you build confidence, increase resilience, and develop the tools you need to navigate life's challenges while creating lasting, meaningful change. Strength-based therapy is a collaborative process where the client and I work together as partners. Clients actively participate in setting goals, exploring solutions, and making decisions about their therapy journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is practical, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. CBT is based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By identifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, we can develop healthier ways of coping and responding to life's challenges. In our work together, we'll explore how your thoughts influence your emotions and daily experiences. I'll help you recognize patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, or other concerns, and we'll work together to replace them with more balanced, realistic, and helpful perspectives. I believe therapy should provide tools you can use both during and outside of our sessions. Using evidence-based CBT techniques, we'll develop practical coping skills, problem-solving strategies, and healthy habits that support lasting change. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel empowered to build resilience, increase confidence, and make meaningful progress toward your personal goals.

Trauma Informed Care

My approach to Trauma-Informed Care begins with recognizing that past experiences can have a lasting impact on how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to life's challenges. I believe healing is most effective when therapy provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel respected, heard, and in control of your own journey. I work collaboratively with clients to understand how trauma may be affecting their lives while honoring their strengths, resilience, and readiness for change. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I focus on understanding, "What has happened to you?" and how those experiences have shaped your current challenges. Using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, I help clients develop healthy coping skills, regulate difficult emotions, build resilience, and process painful experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My goal is to empower you to regain a sense of control, strengthen your confidence, and move toward healing while building a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and hopeful. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. This involves fostering emotional safety by building trust, maintaining confidentiality, and respecting boundaries. I use gentle approaches, respecting pacing and readiness for exploring sensitive topics, and providing options for coping and self-care during sessions.
