Welcome! Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after a break, I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Mary, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in GA, NJ, and NY. Since 2014, I’ve worked in a variety of settings—from intensive treatment centers to virtual outpatient care—treating concerns ranging from chemical dependency to everyday stress. I focus on helping adults and teens (14+) navigate anxiety, relationship discord, and life transitions. Outside of sessions, I’m an avid dog lover and enjoy riding my bike when the weather is nice!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our initial meeting is a "meet and greet" to ensure we are the best fit for your journey. We will review your mental health history, upbringing, and the specific challenges currently standing in the way of your highest potential. Finding the right therapist is a bit like online dating—it’s all about the connection! This is a safe, 100% confidential space where I encourage you to be an open book and ask me anything about my methods. If we aren’t a perfect match, there are absolutely no hard feelings.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
With over 11 years of experience, my greatest strength is building a foundation of trust and rapport with a diverse range of individuals. My background in high-intensity clinical settings allows me to remain a steady, calm presence even when navigating complex mental health issues. I excel at creating an environment where you can feel safe "unloading" your thoughts while we work together to find actionable, healthy solutions tailored to your unique life experience.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, disconnected from others, or stuck in a cycle of wondering if you're "good enough," please know you don’t have to carry that weight alone. These feelings often ripple into work, school, and relationships, making it hard to cope in healthy ways. I provide a non-judgmental, confidential space for those ready to prioritize their self-care and focus on the goals that matter most to them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is evidence-based practice for resolving core beliefs that are hindering your perspective and behaviors. Uncovering this belief system will allow one to be more flexible with unexpected feelings and behaviors.
Mind-body approach
Emotions are a system of the connection of thoughts and sensations. Over time, emotions can become reinforced in ways that aren't productive. Disconnecting these pathways can be part of the journey to better emotional regulation and stability.
