I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. With more than 14 years of experience in social services across New York City and New Jersey, I bring a diverse clinical background and a compassionate, client-centered approach to my practice. I am certified in Advanced Trauma and trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My professional experience includes substance use treatment, residential treatment for adults and children, services for Veterans, child welfare, crisis management, medical social work, mental health counseling, and psychotherapy.

My experience ranges from working in Substance Abuse, Residential treatment for adults/children, Veterans, Child Welfare, Crisis Management, Medical Social Work, Mental Health counseling, and Psychotherapy.

Through my practice, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore challenges, develop effective coping strategies, heal from difficult experiences, and work toward meaningful personal growth. My goal is to help each client feel heard, empowered, and equipped to create positive and lasting change.

First session

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, and then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

My greatest strength as a provider is creating a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I strive to create a safe space where they can openly express their thoughts and emotions, including the difficult or raw feelings that may be challenging to share. My goal is for every client to feel heard, respected, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with individuals who are eager to improve their mental, emotional, and physical functioning but lack the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about making changes.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice for over 10 years. CBT focuses on understanding the connection between a person’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use CBT to better understand how my clients’ thought patterns influence their perceptions of themselves, others, and their lives. Together, we explore and challenge unhelpful or negative thought patterns and consider alternative, more balanced ways of thinking. This collaborative process helps clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts and identify healthier ways to respond to challenging situations.
