LCSW, 25 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, my name is Laura Savage, and I have had the privilege of working as a Social Worker since 1997. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and later obtained a Master’s in Social Work from Florida International University. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations across a range of settings, including an adolescent residential treatment facility, a hospital, and a nonprofit organization supporting children affected by cancer and their families. Currently, I am employed within a school district, where I provide school-based counseling services to middle and high school students. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I use to help students manage challenges related to ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and anxiety. I also support students in developing executive functioning skills and strategies that promote academic and personal success. In addition to working with adolescents, I enjoy working with young adults and individuals in midlife.
Clients can expect a supportive and empowering therapeutic experience. Clients should feel validated and leave therapy with realistic goals for their personal growth.
I believe in creating a warm, empathetic, and supportive environment that fosters a strong therapeutic alliance. Together, we can work collaboratively to support growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is open-minded, empathic, and a good listener, I embody key qualities that are foundational to effective therapy. The best approach to therapy will be one that aligns with my client's values, enhances client empowerment, and allows for flexibility across all populations. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, starting in adolescence.
