Welcome to my (safe) space!!!
I'm a bit of a Fred Roger's enthusiast, so let me start by saying thank you for being you!! My most important value is to treat people with love and respect, no matter their background, no matter their circumstances!! I believe we all deserve it!!!
My name is Jose-Santos Xavier Orozco, feel free to call me whatever makes you comfortable!!! Life to me is about being flexible, or like Bruce Lee said, like water, being able to bend and reshape whenever needed, while maintaining strength and purpose!!!
I am a 36 year old male therapist who was born in SF and raised in Los Angeles! My early years were spent in the foster care system until I was placed into a permanent family at the age of 6. I am of mixed Ethnic background and have experienced culture/ identity difficulties since as long as I can remember.
Life has naturally brought me to get a degree in Social work and work in this field. I would definitely consider myself a wounded warrior, although I feel like my injuries have been pretty well tended to by now. Learning to accept and love yourself has been my greatest achievement (on-going achievement) and I promise that when you get there too, it can be yours as well!!!
I prefer working with ADULT population; I have very limited experience working with kids. Thank you

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I use a client-centered therapeutic approach, solution-focused, strength-based, and very supportive allowing my clients to find the answers within themselves. I have over 4 years of experience working at the Department of State Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker treating patients suffering from severe mental illness and 5 years working in all five of San Luis Obispo County Hospital's Emergency Departments, specializing in mental health crisis and stabilization.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of clinical experience, grounded in a lifelong passion for providing meaningful clinical services and fostering healing relationships. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, followed by a Master's in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Community Mental Health. These foundations shaped a career centered on serving diverse communities and addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Throughout my training and professional work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals across the lifespan from adolescents to older adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and complex life transitions. My early clinical experience included providing therapy to incarcerated youth and working in Kaiser Permanente’s Behavioral Health department, treating a broad general population. I also had the opportunity to engage in international mental health work, serving Syrian refugees in Germany during a study abroad program.
Professionally, I’ve held leadership roles overseeing residential psychiatric facilities for individuals experiencing homelessness and served as a psychological expert in the court system, where I helped provide treatment and mental health diversion for those involved in the criminal justice system. Additionally, I’ve supported the next generation of therapists as a clinical supervisor for graduate students and early-career clinicians.
I believe that life is a beautiful thing, but at times, hurdles and trials can obscure us from seeing that vision. Do mornings greet you with anxiety or sadness? Have you noticed that your motivation within you has dwindled?
Hi, I'm Ben, and my passion is collaborating with individuals like you to help them rediscover their very best selves. I thrive on connecting with my clients right where they are. We will work together to chart a new course to rekindle your appreciation for the beauty surrounding us in life. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which empowers you to unravel negative behavior patterns, allowing you to break free from thoughts and actions that might be constraining your happiness.
I’m Herschel O’Brien, a clinical counselor with extensive experience in trauma-informed, client-centered care. I specialize in helping individuals navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative, drawing from modalities like mindfulness, narrative therapy, and systems thinking. Whether you're facing trauma, mood instability, or life transitions, I offer a safe space where healing is possible and meaningful growth can take root. I believe in empowering clients to become the authors of their own lives, with clarity, confidence, and emotional insight.
I’m an LMFT/ CSAT/ CMAT doing private practice counseling and group therapy in Los Angeles. I’ve been a therapist for almost 7 years, experienced in treating sex/ porn addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, ADHD, and church hurt in private practice, recovery clinics, and faith-based settings. As a CSAT, I pay special attention to intimacy disorders, and believe the best way to treat addiction, depression, or sin is about finding real hope and meaningful connection rather than “managing bad behaviors.” What I really want you to know about me is that I believe so much in the therapy process, because my life was changed forever by the counselors that have helped me to overcome my own mental health struggles.
A little more about me that makes me who I am as a therapist? I was a pastor for 17 years and I feel humbled when I can come alongside ministry leaders in a crisis of faith. As a gay Christian, I’m especially proud to share my story with other LGBTQ+ individuals who long for self-acceptance and inclusion in the church. I was a songwriter in my younger days and enjoy finding creative ways to help people heal. I believe we find our greatest purpose in the center of our pain, and I will probably get super excited when you do too.
Do you feel stuck? Struggling to better your relationships with others and/or with yourself, yet finding yourself repeatedly experiencing frustration and disappointment?
I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and my passion is helping people overcome self-limiting thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
I have worked in many mental health settings with problems ranging from severe mental illness to problems of adjustment, and I draw from my training and experience to be creative in helping my clients work through challenges. I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and families identify what is most important to them and helping them find solutions that they feel enthusiastic about using to better their lives. My areas of expertise include healthy communication and men's issues.
My name is Gary Youssef and I have been providing mental/behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and families for 25+ years. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing mental/behavioral health issues impacting children and adults such as: career/school stressors, depression, anxiety, relational issues, parenting, family systems, medical challenges, healthy lifestyles, etc. I worked for 14 years as a therapist and program manager at the central outpatient psychiatry clinic at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego which is ranked as one of the top 10 children's hospitals in the United States by U.S. News and World report. I have helped provide behavioral health services for over 10,000 children, adults and families throughout San Diego County. In addition, I helped support U.S. service members and their families while working as a military family life counselor at Naval Medical Center-San Diego in Pediatrics. I also volunteered at San Diego Unified School District and coached little league. I love being a father to my two awesome sons and I enjoy athletics and cooking in my free time. I am practical and eclectic therapist combining elements from theoretical orientations such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy to help clients of all ages. The vast majority of my clients report that they had a good experience working with me and describe me as experienced, professional, friendly, kind, helpful and effective.
I aim to create a calm, sturdy, trustworthy, emotionally grounded, and radically nonjudgmental therapeutic space where you can be deeply curious about your own experience. A patient space where you can take your time. A space where you can slow down, breathe, reflect, be silent or quiet. A space where you can be loud, angry, triggered, upset. A space where you don't have to make sense, but we can make sense of things together.
Education: B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Northwestern University, Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Wright Institute.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I take a client-centered approach to treatment, ensuring that each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals of my clients. In my sessions, I would like to hear from you. Think of me as an observer in your art gallery, not as a critic, but as someone who appreciates your vision and the story you tell. You are the artist, and as such, you will explain to me your pieces, your vision, and your creations. I will take these all in and reflect back to you your work, and if appropriate, draw parallels from your earlier creations.
Hi, I am Boris. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been practicing for the past 7 years. In your unique life journey, you have navigated a path full of diverse experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Your story is a testament to your resilience and the growth that has emerged from your personal adventures. Throughout your life, you have embraced the power of self-discovery, learning, and transformation. Your narrative highlights your individual strengths and the lessons you've gathered along the way, shaping the remarkable person you've become today. It is your story, and I am here to listen, support, and help you explore your aspirations, identify your goals, and work together to create a future chapter that aligns with your desires and values.
As a board-certified psychotherapist, I have had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of remarkable clients. My professional journey encompasses assisting parents in the reunification process with their children, guiding young adolescents through the complexities of emerging emotions, and supporting older adults as they navigate the challenges of lifelong illnesses. I am glad you are taking time to get to know me. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have my M.S. in clinical psychology from San Francisco State University and my undergrad in psychology from Purdue University. I have worked in San Francisco for seventeen years with multicultural families and individuals that have been in crisis. I have worked with a multitude of differing diagnosis and problems over this extensive period of time. I take such pride in helping families and individuals live a better life and obtain their desired goals. I am glad to have been around in my job long enough to have observed the positive results my contributions have made. I am passionate in wanting to help alleviate suffering and I stay determined in doing so.
Ever since I was a young man, I had the desire to help others in need. My classmates told me that I should be a psychiatrist due to the fact I had a natural ability to read people very well. I am glad I get to do what I am passionate about for a living; it feels as if I am not working at all because I enjoy the work so much. My style of therapy is conversational. I would never ask what is wrong with you, but what is right with you. Working from the strengths perspective is important because enhancing our strengths can help you be a better person and what is why you come to therapy in the first place.
Hi! I'm Nick and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in helping adults who are ready to move beyond just surviving and into a place of genuine connection and wholeness. I understand the profound weight you’ve been carrying for so long, whether it is the shadow of childhood trauma, navigating addiction or recovery, or the deep fatigue of not being fully seen.
If you’ve spent years trying to hold it all together, navigating the world as a man, a trauma survivor, someone who is queer, neurodivergent, or in recovery, you may have learned to mask, people please, or stay small simply to survive. I specialize in supporting those who have felt fundamentally “othered” because of their identity, their sensitivity, or their complex struggles.
My approach can be direct, relational, and deeply connected. You will not find judgment in our sessions. What you will find is honesty, profound compassion, and the kind of authentic support that allows you to safely let your guard down. I believe the most transformative healing happens in relationship through empathy, attunement, and having the space to be fully yourself, without the need for code-switching, masking, or minimizing any part of your experience.
I bring warmth, humor, and realness into our work, meeting you exactly where you are today. Therapy with me is a genuine partnership, focusing on what you need, rather than a rigid prescription. We will collaborate to heal early wounds, develop profound self-compassion, and cultivate a life where you feel a sense of belonging in your own skin.
If any of this resonates and if you are ready for a change and a relational experience with someone who understands your journey, I would be honored to connect with you.
Craig Steckowski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based out of California and serves clients in both California and Virginia. He served in the Marine Corps prior to attending Alliant University in Irvine, CA for his therapy Master’s degree. After school, Craig then went on to work in Orange County. He was an advocate with the court system for mental health treatment and rehabilitation from chemical dependency. He also spent some time working for an agency that provided support to the homeless population and later, in a community clinic in New Hampshire where he helped to create services that met the needs of the community.
Each of these experiences helped to shape Craig’s philosophy toward therapy, which is that therapy should be a non-judgemental, welcoming space for his clients to be their unfiltered, authentic selves. “I just truly want therapy to be a place that you look forward to and value,” he wants clients to know. “It’s your space, and nothing you say, do, or experience is going to change my perception of you.”
His main goal as a therapist is to connect with his clients and offer them a place of solid, consistent, and positive support that they can depend on. He prioritizes maintaining a low enough caseload that clients can maintain a regular therapy schedule with him. He also encourages his clients to reach out between sessions if need be. “If you need me to be your hype man and help you through something, I’ll be there.”
In his free time, Craig focuses on doing things that help rejuvenate him which includes spending time outside and quality time with his wife. He also regularly seeks professional support from a trusted mentor in the field to ensure he is practicing mindfully and ethically.
Hi there, I'm Joshua!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with a master’s degree in social work, I specialize in providing compassionate, client-centered therapy using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My approach integrates these evidence-based methodologies to offer a holistic and effective path toward healing. I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore and understand their internal experiences, develop practical skills for managing emotions, and foster personal growth. Together, we work towards lasting change and improved well-being, tailored to your unique needs and goals.
You want to change your feelings, thoughts, or behaviors, but every time you try, it blows up in your face. (Not literally...hopefully.) How do you get unstuck?! The most important factor is the relationship with your therapist. My main focus is teaming up with you - not telling you what to do - to figure out how to help you create new patterns.
My practice mostly revolves around increasing your awareness of what’s happening in your mind and your body – and above all, respecting your experience. My approach focuses on mindfulness, DBT, and post-traumatic growth. This takes work, but with the help of someone you trust, you absolutely can change the structure of your brain!
As much as I may be in the most privileged of demographics (see photo), I’ve taken a lifetime’s worth of feeling inferior and deployed it for good: Being able to empathize with you, the client. I've worked extensively with anger, grief, substance use, LGBTQ+-related issues, insomnia, racial identity, relationship issues, sports performance, etc.
I have an easygoing way of communicating with clients. My communication style definitely doesn't have that solemn, overly serious tone that you might see depicted in movie therapists. Just to forewarn: My sessions can and will include some (very lame) jokes here and there, but that does not mean I don't take your struggle seriously.

I started out as a kid from Queens, NY who volunteered on the weekends working with individuals with autism while I was in high school. That propelled me into the world of social services. From there, I worked with individuals with severe psychiatric concerns, to families in need throughout NYC, the shelter system, students in higher education, residential group homes for system impacted adolescence and community mental health in the Southern California region. I believe we all have our stories from lived experiences that play a direct role in our daily struggles. This is why I utilize a psychodynamic & mindfulness approach that helps folks to understand what factors of their past feeds the stressors of their present and how to live more freely in the “now”.
My name is Ramsey Khader. I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. I have worked with a wide range of clients, from individuals dealing with a serious mental illness to those who needed support with a specific issue or navigating a stressful circumstance in their life. I first became interested in becoming a psychologist when I learned people react differently even when dealing with the same problems or circumstances. Individuals dealing with the same mental issues still needed to be treated as a person not as their diagnosis.
My goal is to help you break free from the cycle of stress and anxiety through practical techniques and personalized strategies for growth. With a background in mindfulness, meditation, and psychedelic-assisted therapy, I take a holistic approach to therapy. Together we'll create a comfortable space where you can explore your challenges, gain perspective, and deepen your emotional awareness without feeling judged.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University. As your therapist, my hope is to create a supportive relationship where you will feel validated, heard, and seen within a safe environment. My clients have overcome depression, anxiety, toxic relationships, addictions, grief, and trauma. I look forward to us discovering the best you through our work.

Helping them feel more secure and safe in a process that can be scary to some.

Whatever the case may be, we can work through it together. I'd like to help you improve the relationship you have with yourself and others and overcome painful past experiences.
I provide individual therapy virtually and in person to California residents from my offices in West Lake and Los Angeles. Welcome! I'm Mark Mitchell, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to helping individuals with healing, growth, and transformation in a very pragmatic way. With over 40 years of experience in the field. I help you get Hope & Tools to make your life better.
At the core of my practice is a deep belief in the power of connection and the potential for personal change. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. Together, we'll work collaboratively to identify the underlying issues that may be holding you back and develop practical strategies to overcome them.
My areas of expertise encompass a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, men's issues, couples issues, recovery, retirement & financials, & dealing with aging parent or partner. I use a holistic and integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Approach and Mindfulness.
What sets me apart is my genuine passion & tools for helping individuals and families thrive. I believe that therapy is not solely about addressing current struggles but also nurturing long-lasting resilience and well-being. I strive to empower you with the tools and insights necessary to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
Beyond my clinical work, I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques. This dedication ensures that I provide you with the most effective and up-to-date therapeutic interventions available.
If you're seeking a therapist who will listen deeply I am the guy.:)
On a personal note, I am happily married, active in hiking, martial arts, & yoga, a gardener, was a caregiver for multiple years with a paralyzed speechless mother, & volunteer for the Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative & a local church.
As an individual, I consider myself to be analytical, intellectual, insightful, creative, and passionate. What drove me to become a psychotherapist was the idea of implementing philosophical concepts and the creative process to help people cope with suffering, which I believe is an unavoidable part of the human condition. I have clinical experience providing services to individuals and families from a diverse population. I am enthusiastic about putting my skills to service and assisting my clients in the process of healing and growth.
