As a university professor, I became the Multiple Subject Program Director, Graduate Reading Director, and Supervisor of Student Teachers with both national and international publications.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist based in California with over 20 years of experience practicing, researching, teaching, and supervising in the field of clinical psychology. I have had the privilege of supporting many adults in their efforts to overcome challenges arising during times of life transition such as starting/graduating school, beginning/changing careers, coping with the death of a loved one (including reproductive losses), relationship challenges/changes, and unexpected traumatic events in life. These challenges may include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, substance misuse, and grief among others. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I will approach our work together through a holistic lens aiming to offer hope for healing as well as discovery of meaning and fulfillment in life. Let's work together on developing a clear direction to help you live a life that you feel is worth living, however you define it!
Are you searching for meaning or clarity in your life? Feeling stuck in a transition, questioning your identity, or moving through an existential crisis? You’re not alone—and healing begins with awareness. I help people of all ages reconnect with their authentic selves by exploring the unconscious patterns that shape our thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we uncover what no longer serves you and create space for new growth and purpose.
I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Doctoral Candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I specialize in Depth Psychology and Integrative Healing Practices. My holistic approach honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and I believe every person already holds the wisdom needed for healing. My role is to walk beside you as a compassionate guide, helping you integrate insight into everyday life.
I am a Christian Clinical, Forensic and Sports Neuropsychologist. Like many folks who get into the mental health field, I had certain mental health challenges. My family of origin was burdened with addiction and mental health. I currently have 40 years of sobriety and am intimately familiar with 12 Step, Christ-centered and Mindfulness aspects of recovery.
I specialize in the treatment of Trauma and Addiction with family systems and attachment orientation. As a trained child psychologist I also place particular emphasis on developmental aspects of trauma. As a former Navy psychologist with many years working with veterans and first responders, I am very familiar with those cultures.
I played college soccer, run 20 marathons, taught scuba as well as being an award winning underwater photographer and competed at the CrossFit World Games for 3 years. I am married, have a son (retired Navy) and a daughter in heaven.
Life is not going as you planned. You are feeling stuck, overwhelmed and confused. Need someone to talk it over with and find solutions in a safe space. I'm here for that and so much more.
My approach is practical and personal. You won't be overwhelmed because the way I work is to make the difficult, easy. It's not simple, there is a lot of work to be done, but we break it down into manageable steps. What can seem impossible is achieved in a step by step process. You will have my support and encouragement to succeed. Therapy is your work to be done; I will be your guide.

Hi, I’m Charles Yin, I work with men and women who struggle with depression, anxiety, and self-sabotaging patterns. This prevents them from feeling connected to themselves and others and from reaching their full potential. I firmly believe everyone can live a meaningful and fulfilling life. After working with clients for over 16 years, I understand the difficulties of finding your path in life and use my expertise to help you overcome these challenges.
How do I help you? There are 3 key ingredients: I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you become friends with your difficult thoughts and feelings and make wise choices even when it's hard. I help you connect deeply with the real you and develop a sense of belonging with others. I help you get out of your mind and into your life and develop skills to unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings, stay present and do what matters.
Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.
Hello there, I am Jamey.

Fortunately, I am here to help you get over that hump.
I strive to help you manage anxiety and avoid burnout. I consider myself to be very adaptable to my clients, and work to find what works best specifically for you! I would also like to assure you, that you are not the only one feeling this way!
Whether you are overwhelmed, having relationship issues, dealing with trauma, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help. Welcome. First, I would like to recognize your strength and courage to seek out mental health support. Life can be challenging to manage. And oftentimes, the toughest part is deciding to reach out for support. Everyone has their own journey. Whether it’s an acute or chronic mental health concern, I use a person-centered approach to empower clients to regain power and stability in their lives.
If you need a safe space to unpack how stress impacts your mental health, together we can work on improving interpersonal skills, reducing symptoms, and developing coping skills to deal with life's challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and Arizona. After more than 30 years as an educator, minister, counselor, and consultant; I realized that the one thing I am most passionate about is working one-on-one with others – watching them discover clarity, restoration, hope, and passion. Psychotherapy is the single endeavor where I get to bring all that I am to all that I do.
Life can get heavy. Anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or just feeling stuck can wear you down and make everyday life harder than it should be. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
I’m a Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping people through difficult seasons—whether that’s constant worry, feeling disconnected from your partner, or feeling like you’ve lost your footing in life. My style is down-to-earth, supportive, and practical. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly and appreciate that I’m real with them.
I won’t lecture you or tell you what you should do. We’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck and find realistic ways to move forward. I’ll help you notice unhelpful thought patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and build skills you can actually use in daily life and relationships.
My goal is simple: to help you feel steadier, more confident, and more like yourself again—and to start feeling some relief sooner rather than later.
Psychotherapy can easily become a long, slow, drawn out process, with the real life benefits of treatment diminishing over time.
That's why I specialize in Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. It helps people find the roots of their inner struggles, and work through them more quickly. That's what I want for myself, and that's what I would like to offer to you.

Hello, my name is Jamal and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with seven years of experience collaborating with diverse communities including preteens, adolescents, adults and older adults, and underrepresented groups.
Most of my work consists of processing trauma and assessing the relationships we have with others to build more hope for the future. I personally believe that though things may be hard right now, no one is 'crazy' and that in some way, the way we are makes sense due to our past experiences. That means we can understand and create experiences now and in the future that are more adaptive and true to how we want to live.
-I currently am not seeing clients under the age of 18 nor couples due to my availability. My apologies in advance for any inconvenience-
I help people overcome issues that might prevent them from leading healthy, fulfilled lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Client Focused therapy as well.
It takes courage to start therapy, but I have seen those who do and apply themselves, come out with a greater understanding of self, and many times with new tools to help them relate better with others in their lives. I look forward to helping you on your “Therapy Journey.”

• Most clients who come in are seeking help with the symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. With anxiety, we examine their current sources of anxiety and stress, and work with anxiety management skills and tools to quickly get the person to feel some relief.
• Regarding depression, we explore underlying causes, while also using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to identify negative thought patterns. Employing these, we collaborate in striving to help the client become more positive, optimistic, and hopeful about their future. I have seen much success using these approaches.
• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2018, I have done, and continue to do, a lot of trauma work, helping people who have been abused, neglected and/or have PTSD.
• I have worked in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program along the way, and am familiar with addiction-recovery issues, 12-Step programs, Smart Recovery, and the way these challenges can impact families and relationships.
• I ran family service programs for the military for about 5 years, and have a pretty good understanding of military culture, and the challenges of military life, especially the Navy, with its long deployments.
• Working for years with people seeking outpatient mental health services, such as those who might come to Grow, I have done much work with high-functioning people such as teachers, nurses, engineers, physicians, professors, other mental health professionals, students, and those doing other kinds of work.
• Finally, because I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, and programs for the chronically mentally ill, I have seen all kinds of mental illness symptoms, and am comfortable working with folks who have severe bipolar symptoms, or challenges with psychotic symptoms, such as hearing voices, and unusual thinking.
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from California State University, Fullerton, and have been practicing for 7 years. I help couples and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma related symptoms navigate these different challenges. I will accept you, validate you, challenge you, but most importantly, give you a space to be all that you are.
