You might be at a turning point—drained by people or work, cut off from the sense of purpose that used to guide you, or trying to make sense of a major life change. You may feel anxious, a bit obsessive at times, or weighed down by depression or habits that keep you stuck. Maybe you’ve built a life that looks fine on the surface but feels misaligned underneath. You might catch yourself wondering why you can’t just feel better despite all your effort, knowing that more of the same “success” won’t make you happy. These are the kinds of crossroads I help people navigate. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Sacramento, California, providing emotional and behavioral support to individuals facing personal and professional challenges, and moving through major life transitions. Years in community mental health and residential treatment taught me how to support people through recovery from addiction, trauma, and complex mental health challenges. Before that, I spent 15 years in the arts and culture field and non-profit sector in Washington, D.C.—work that exposed me to the pressures, expectations, and burnout that high-performing professionals often carry. These experiences shape how I understand the worlds my clients move through and the weight they’re trying to set down.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a collaborative space to explore the challenges bringing you to therapy and clarify what feels most pressing and what you hope to change. It is a chance for us to get a sense of each other and see if it feels like a good fit. You can get a feel for my style, and I can learn more about what brings you here and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Your time is valuable and deserves focus and genuine curiosity—not just talk. My approach is interactive and dynamic, grounded in compassion and respect. I offer honest feedback and clear perspective, while encouraging you to take ownership of the changes you want to make. Together, we’ll set realistic goals, keep track of progress, and refine our focus as you grow, so your effort leads to meaningful results.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Therapy with me is often a good fit if you want to: • Reduce anxiety and improve your mood • Get better, more consistent sleep • Cut back or stop using substances • Support improvements in your physical wellbeing and energy • Minimize compulsive patterns such as overworking • Navigate conflict more effectively at home or at work • Rebuild or strengthen close relationships • Recover from painful losses like divorce or separation • Reconnect with personal interests and a deeper sense of purpose You may not know exactly what needs to change—only that something important does. If you’re open to exploring what’s really happening inside and engaging in a process that values both authenticity and direction, I’d be honored to support you in finding your way forward.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

In our work, psychodynamic therapy helps you notice patterns you’ve been living out automatically—especially the ones that keep you stuck. We explore what’s underneath them, and make sense of how your past experiences shape your present. Clients often describe this as “getting to the bottom of things.” This allows finding more freedom to choose a different path.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy focuses on how you relate to yourself and others. I pay attention to what feels safe, what feels risky, and how trust develops in our work together. Over time, the relationship we build becomes a place to practice connection, express needs, and develop a steadier sense of security that carries into your life outside the room.

Integrative

Integrative therapy is a way of working that fits you, rather than asking you to fit a rigid model. We draw from different approaches—psychodynamic, attachment, cognitive, behavioral, mindfulness-based—to explore your experiences, practice new skills, and focus on what matters most to you. Many clients find this approach grounding and flexible: it offers insight when reflection is needed, practical tools when action is needed, and a sense of growth that feels intentional and fully their own.

Narrative

Narrative therapy invites you to look at the stories that have shaped how you see yourself—the ones you wrote and the ones that were handed to you. In session, we sort through what still fits and what no longer does. Clients often find this process clarifying and liberating, allowing them to step into a story that feels more true and self-directed.

Relational

Relational therapy focuses on what’s happening between us in real time. I’m engaged and present—not a neutral wall. When distance, tension, or warmth shows up, we explore it together with curiosity. Many clients find this helps them understand their relational patterns more deeply and feel more authentic in their lives outside the room.
