LCSW, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
For over 10 years, my work spanned from court advocacy to case management for immigrant and underserved communities in Los Angeles. I have worked in community mental health providing culturally responsive therapeutic services including harm reduction and crisis counseling. Rooted in social justice, my work as a therapist is an extension of my passion in helping others empower themselves and assist in their healing journey.
Our first session will involve learning about what brings you to therapy, understanding your goals, strengths and values. By creating a non-judgmental space, I hope to build rapport and help create a supportive environment for authenticity as we get to know each other.
Using an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens, my approach is to de-stigmatize mental illness while highlighting your strengths and honoring lived experiences. I can be warm yet direct in helping break patterns that are no longer helpful.
BIPOC individuals who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma (racial trauma and generational trauma), moral injury, PTSD, and grief. For men of color, I can assist in navigating patriarchy and how it manifests in relationships and how we relate with the world.
I meet clients where they are at and adapt my treatment methods based on client's needs and goals.
