I am Danielle Ortiz, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy via Telehealth in the New Jersey area. I specialize in providing compassionate and effective mental health support to adults seeking to improve their overall well-being. Everyone feels anxious or depressed at times. Difficult situations can lead a person to feel sad, lonely, scared, nervous, or anxious. These feelings are normal reactions to the stressors of everyday life. Are you experiencing these feelings daily for no apparent reason, making it difficult to carry on with normal, everyday functioning? When anxiety and depression are persistent, uncontrollable, or overwhelming it's time to seek help. I strongly believe in the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to help you understand that you don’t have to believe everything you think. During our time together, we will work on reframing negative or undesirable thoughts and identifying healthy coping skills to manage uncomfortable feelings.

You will learn how to take control of your thoughts and behaviors, and to develop healthier coping strategies to deal with life stressors. I understand that every individual is unique, and that's why our counseling sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My treatment method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We will work to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. By focusing on the idea that our thoughts can influence our emotions and behaviors, we will aim to identify and change negative or unhelpful thought patterns in order to improve your mental well-being.
