I love working with clients who feel like they have not yet been truly heard. I like to help people from many different walks of life. I love watching clients grow and supporting them through every unexpected or challenging aspect of life. When we work together, you will not feel alone, rather you will feel validated and empowered. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. The first session really allows us to get to know each other, collecting all the information we need to begin doing the beneficial work that helps you reach your goals. This initial session also allows you to ask any questions you have about the process so that you can feel as comfortable as possible to begin the work. Consider this session the foundation we will create for the building blocks of everything to come. A strong foundation is important for us to see progress and for you to feel that your goals are possible. This initial session is very important, but I place as little pressure on it as possible, so it doesn’t feel intimidating. You come as you are and we go from there.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, that has worked with a diverse client population for several years, I have come to learn that the working relationship is key to feeling successful and seeing change. Establishing this connection between client and therapist is an integral part of the therapeutic process. I want you to feel comfortable and safe to open up and be vulnerable in order to see real change in your life. I take the time needed to form a strong relationship with my clients, working at your pace. I understand that it can be difficult to open up or trust, especially when life has made you feel like that is impossible. I am patient and gentle, imposing no pressure to rush that process. I challenge your comfort zone and boundaries in a way that pushes you without disturbing your peace.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a therapist, I use a person-centered approach, meeting clients where you are and providing you the support that best suits you and your needs. I tend to use techniques and strategies from a multitude of therapeutic modalities, including, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy. This eclectic person-centered approach allows me to tailor treatment to you, because therapy is not one-size-fits-all and you deserve treatment customized to your individual needs and goals.
