My name is Jillian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing for 15 plus years. My approach with clients is to work with them to identify what they are willing to do to make positive changes. I like to use a solution focused approach as my clients have shown significant results when they are provided with specific interventions to try when not in session. My use of CBT treatment modalities has helped clients with panic disorder and anxiety. I also enjoy working with couples as well as providing parent management training for parents struggling with children with mental health disorders/explosive behaviors.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session I like to get a sense of what is bringing you in and the presenting problem in your life. The first session tends to be "all over the place" as clients often come in with a jumble of emotions and don't know where to start. I reassure all clients that they can take whatever direction works for them and I will be able to follow along and piece everything together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is I am approachable, down to earth and solution focused. Making the commitment to start therapy is the hardest part. Once you are here, I will do the work of helping us to build a trusting, therapeutic relationship while finding goals and objectives that work for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I would be a good fit as a clinician for someone struggling with anxiety/depression or any type of adjustment or life transitions. I work with clients aged 21 and over through telehealth. I have experience with women's issues, grief, anger management, peer/family conflict and couple's counseling.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have 15 plus years using solution focused treatment. My clients enjoy using this treatment method as they see results through using specific interventions and examples that they are able to do outside of session.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I like to use CBT as a treatment method in my practice because it helps client regain control of their thoughts and see a significant reduction in symptoms.
