New to Grow
Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist is an important first step. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe meaningful change comes from understanding not only what you're experiencing, but why it's happening. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools that help you move toward the life you want. I strive to balance warmth, curiosity, and honest conversation so our work feels both supportive and productive.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and see whether we're a good fit. I always say the first session is kind of a general overview of life's chaos whereas in following sessions we may (hopefully) explore aspects of said chaos deeper. We'll spend time talking about what brings you to therapy, your personal history, what's been working, what's been difficult, and what you hope will be different moving forward. There's no pressure to share everything right away—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you'll leave feeling understood, with a clearer sense of where we can focus our work together and what the next steps may look like.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to combine empathy with practical guidance. I naturally look for patterns, helping people understand how their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences connect. Rather than simply offering advice, I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change. In addition to traditional evidence-based approaches, I hold a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Positive psychology isn't about pretending everything is okay or "thinking positively." Instead, it focuses on identifying and building upon your existing strengths, resilience, values, and sources of meaning—even during life's most difficult moments. I enjoy helping clients not only reduce distress, but also cultivate a life that feels purposeful, fulfilling, and aligned with who they want to become. I also believe therapy should feel authentic. I bring curiosity, honesty, and a sense of humor when appropriate, while never losing sight of the courage it takes to be vulnerable. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling both understood and empowered with practical tools they can apply outside the therapy room.
I work with adults (18+) from a wide variety of backgrounds who are navigating life's challenges and looking for meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or questions about identity and purpose. My approach is often a great fit for people who are curious about themselves and want to better understand the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Whether you've been in therapy before or are taking the first step, I enjoy working collaboratively to build insight while developing practical tools you can use in everyday life. I especially enjoy working with individuals who want to move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward building a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and aligned with their values. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences, and I strive to create an environment where you feel respected, understood, and comfortable showing up as your authentic self.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, challenge unhelpful ways of thinking, and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal isn't to tell you what to think, but to help you build practical skills that allow you to respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.
Positive Psychology
Positive Psychology complements traditional therapy by focusing not only on reducing distress but also on building a meaningful and fulfilling life. Rather than simply asking, "How do we help you feel less anxious or depressed?" we also explore your strengths, values, resilience, and what helps you thrive. This approach isn't about forced positivity—it's about helping you discover and build upon the qualities that allow you to grow, even during difficult seasons of life.Positive Psychology complements traditional therapy by focusing not only on reducing distress but also on building a meaningful and fulfilling life. Existential
Sometimes our greatest struggles aren't about symptoms—they're about questions of meaning, purpose, identity, and the direction we want our lives to take. I enjoy helping clients explore these deeper questions while identifying what truly matters to them, so they can make choices that feel authentic and aligned with their values.
Grief Therapy
Grief looks different for everyone, and there is no "right" way to heal. Whether you've experienced the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a stage of life, or another significant change, I provide a space to process your emotions at your own pace. Together, we'll honor what has been lost while finding healthy ways to move forward without feeling like you have to leave that connection behind.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a genuine, trusting relationship. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism. When people feel truly heard and accepted, they are often better able to discover their own strengths and create meaningful change.
