Research and clinical experience guide my therapeutic approach. Much of my work involves helping individuals process trauma and life experiences or stressors. I understand that in working with individuals through an array of challenges, vulnerability and compassion are necessary for healing. It is my goal to provide a safe, warm, and relaxed environment for individuals to tune out external noise and deepen the connection within.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I like to use the first session to get to know you, your goals and definition of successful therapy sessions. We'll review coping skills and current dilemmas so that I have a good idea of where I can be of most help!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize a dynamic approach with my clients. Each individual deserves a nonjudgemental ear and a supportive atmosphere. I function as an objective party that helps to facilitate understanding and provide encouragement in the healing process. I am happy to be your partner in your therapeutic journey!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I prefer clients that are open-minded, maybe experiencing some ambivalence or readiness to change. I believe the best clients are considering lifestyle change and relationship-based approaches to improve their connection with themselves and their communities.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

Using relaxation training, I instruct patients in practices such as Diaphragmatic breathing, Resonance breathing, somatic therapies, Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR), visualization, and meditation to help them tune out the noise of the outside world and become reacquainted with their true selves and desires.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use active listening skills and strengths-based approaches to build client confidence, trust, and rapport.

Trauma Informed Care

I believe it is the therapist's responsibility to provide a safe and secure space for individuals to express themselves. The environment should remain mindful of the plethora of experiences that patients face as well as nonjudgemental of those in the process of healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

My main goal of practice is to have patients learn adequate emotion regulation skills in order to navigate the challenges of everyday stressors. In my opinion, the goal of therapy is to master coping skills that keep us out of long-term treatment, and instead strengthen resilience and community.
