As a Clinical Social Worker since 2000, my objective is to assist individuals in navigating life while providing support in developing healthy coping skills along the way. We will work together to identify new and existing personal strengths, exploring your goals in order to create a viable plan to aid in measurable growth through health and wellness challenges. In addition to my private practice (opened in 2003) my background includes employment as Adolescent Emergency Shelter Director, School Counselor, Hospice, Hospital Palliative Care LCSW and Bereavement Coordinator.
Working with individuals, couples and families are all options as we look at the most beneficial way to address the challenges of life. We can explore your goals and objectives to determine which modality best meets your needs and adjust as needed along the way.
When important moments are interrupted by thoughts or emotions, getting through the day can be a challenge. I have the ability to find the root cause and present the issue in an easy to understand way with structure for a solution. I have been practicing licensed for 12 years. Hello and welcome! Starting therapy can be scary and intimidating and so I'd like to share a little bit about myself that way you have a chance to know more about me before your first session! I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from Monmouth College and my Master of Science degree in counseling from Western Illinois University. I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois and Texas.
I have worked in the mental health field as a counselor since 2010. I was a therapist and crisis counselor for Bridgeway Community Mental Health starting in 2010 and then went on to become the Director of Crisis/Mental Health Juvenile Justice/and First Episode Psychosis Program. I then went on to work in private practice at Crossroads Counseling in Galesburg, IL. I have significant experience working with children and adolescents in the private sector as well as young adults. I enjoy working with clients who are healing from traumatic experiences. I have worked with survivors of trauma and abuse throughout my entire counseling career. I am EMDR trained and have a deep compassion for those dealing with the results of trauma and abuse. Additionally, I have worked with children and adults experiencing depression, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD and trauma using DBT and cognitive-behavioral therapy as treatment modalities.
I live with my husband, Dustin, in Galesburg ,IL and have three active boys ages 18, 14, and 11. I enjoy reading, fishing, camping, being outdoors, and watching my children in various activities.

Kristina McCray, M.S., LSSP, LPC-S is a School Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor for the state of Texas. She has over 15 years of experience working as a mental health professional. Kristina received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Louisiana State University. She then received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State University. Furthermore, she received a Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Texas A&M Commerce. She has experience with working with people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, personality disorders, substance addiction, identity problems, self-esteem problems, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. She has experience in working with families, couples, individuals, and groups. Kristina also has helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma. Throughout her 16 years of experience, she has worked several different jobs in the mental health field and in the school system.
Kristina is passionate about helping children and adults heal through traumas and navigate through conflict that they have experienced, so that they can be successful in life. She also looks forward to providing the necessary life tools to aid others in maintaining a balanced mental health. Furthermore, she is interested in providing family therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy ages 13-100, group therapy, classes, crisis consultation, mental health case management/referral services, general and special education consultation and advocacy for parents and students with disabilities, behavioral consultation, and mental health services and consultation to school districts and companies.

I have worked in the prison system and crisis working with server mental health. I am currently at a outpatient clinic that serves a vast different population of behavioral health and medical.
