New to Grow
Hi there! I am Karis and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas and have been in practice for 4 years. I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
During our first session together, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgement-free space where we can begin getting to know one another. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, current challenges or stressors, personal strengths, and goals for counseling. I will also gather background information to better understand your experiences and how I can best support you. Therapy is a collaborative process, and together we will create goals and strategies to meet your individual needs.
I strive to create an environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. I bring a strengths-based perspective to help clients recognize their resilience and build confidence as they navigate challenges. My approach is collaborative and individualized, meaning I work to meet each client where they are while providing support, encouragement, and practical tools to help them grow and heal.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing life stressors that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to manage alone. I enjoy working with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, mood changes, school or social pressures, family conflict, or transitions related to growing up and developing their identity. In therapy, I provide a calm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients can feel safe exploring their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, I help clients build coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and develop a stronger sense of confidence and emotional regulation as they navigate everyday challenges.
