New to Grow
I help adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and women's mental health with warmth, authenticity, and practical tools. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood while building lasting skills that help you move from simply surviving to living with greater confidence, balance, and purpose. If you're the one everyone depends on but rarely asks for help yourself, this space was made with you in mind. I balance compassion with honesty, celebrate progress over perfection, and believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and genuinely human - not clinical or intimidating.
Your first session is about getting to know you - not trying to "fix" everything at once. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you've already tried, what's been working (or not), and what you hope life could look like if things felt better. I know opening up to someone new can feel vulnerable, so we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You don't need to have the right words, a perfectly organized story, or all the answers. My role is to help make sense of the pieces together. By the end of our first session, you'll have a clearer understanding of how I work, an opportunity to ask questions, and a personalized plan for where we can begin. My hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, supported, and with a little more clarity and hope than when you walked in.
People often tell me they appreciate how "real" therapy feels with me. I bring warmth, curiosity, humor when appropriate, and genuine compassion while also being willing to challenge unhelpful patterns with kindness. I believe meaningful growth happens when clients feel both accepted and encouraged. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care, but I don't believe therapy should feel like following a script. Every client brings a unique story, strengths, and goals, so I tailor treatment to fit the person—not the diagnosis. Like many people, I've experienced seasons of uncertainty, self-doubt, and significant life transitions. Those experiences have strengthened my empathy without leading me to make your therapy about me. They allow me to meet clients with authenticity, humility, and the belief that healing isn't about becoming someone different - it's about reconnecting with the version of yourself that's been there all along.
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who often appear to have it all together but feel overwhelmed behind the scenes. They're navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, or women's mental health concerns. Many are high achievers, caregivers, or the "strong one" who struggles to ask for help. They want more than temporary relief—they're ready to better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, build healthier relationships, and create a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with their values.
ACT helps you learn how to make room for difficult thoughts and emotions instead of feeling controlled by them. Together, we'll identify what's most important to you, practice responding to challenges with greater flexibility, and build habits that move you toward the life you want - even when things feel uncomfortable.
DBT teaches practical skills for managing overwhelming emotions, coping with stress, improving relationships, and staying grounded during difficult moments. I'll help you build tools you can use in everyday life while balancing self-acceptance with meaningful, lasting change.
Mindfulness helps you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without immediately reacting to them. Together, we'll practice simple techniques that can reduce stress, improve focus, and help you respond to life's challenges with greater intention and self-compassion.
Change can feel complicated, especially when part of you wants something different while another part feels uncertain. I'll help you explore your goals, strengthen your confidence, and uncover your own motivation so that the changes you make feel meaningful and sustainable.
Sometimes it is helpful to spend less time asking, "Why am I like this?" and more time asking, "What will improve this?" This approach focuses on your strengths, what's already working, and small, realistic steps that can create meaningful progress toward your goals.
