Hello there, I'm Elizabeth How are you doing? How are you feeling today? Are you finding it difficult to navigate, manage and overcome daily and other life struggles? I want to start by appreciating you for taking the first step in your healing journey by being here because seeking therapy can be terrifying. It is never too soon or too late to ask for help and constructively work towards your life goals. Over the years, I have worked with individuals struggling with stressful situations, depression, anxiety ADHD, trauma-related issues etc. Let’s work through these challenges together to identify the problem, explore new and alternative ways to make changes and start building healthier habits. To get you there, we will use different evidence-based approaches based on the identified needs and goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we would get to know each other; work on building rapport. We would discuss the consents and other information related to starting therapy. We would also talk about your needs and what you would like to accomplish in therapy. I also like to empower you to identify how you prefer your therapy sessions or how you would like it to be.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My biggest strength is providing empathy and compassion and creating a safe therapeutic environment for clients to feel safe to share their vulnerabilities and strengths. I am also a passionate clinician with over 8 years of experience in this field. I have worked with a diverse population with struggles related to anxiety, depression, anger, grief, life changes, and trauma-related issues.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
18 and above I have enjoyed working with a diverse age range of clients over the course of my therapy work. At this time my focus is serving Adult clients - age range 18 and above.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how changing unhelpful thinking patterns can lead to healthier emotional responses and actions. My approach to CBT is collaborative, practical, and goal-focused. My approach also involves helping clients understand a relationship between their thoughts, emotions and behavior. CBT works best when people understand why they feel the way they do and are given tools they can actively use in daily life.
