I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and identity-related challenges. Our experiences and relationships can have a powerful impact on how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. My approach is rooted in Psychodynamic Therapy while incorporating EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients better understand their experiences, process difficult emotions, and create meaningful change. I view clients as the experts of their own lives, and my role is to collaborate with them in a way that fosters insight, growth, and lasting healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect their first session with me to be a welcoming and supportive experience. During their first meeting, we will explore what brings you to therapy, begin identifying goals for treatment, and discuss the changes you hope to see in your life. My hope is that clients leave feeling encouraged and with a better understanding that growth, healing, and change are possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the strengths I bring to therapy is my ability to build genuine relationships grounded in respect, care, and trust. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences, while incorporating humor when appropriate. I also have a good sense of when to challenge clients and when to provide space for reflection, helping them gain insight and move toward meaningful growth and change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ adults, individuals exploring questions related to identity, and those healing from difficult life experiences, relationship challenges, or religious and spiritual trauma. As someone who identifies within the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of having a space where all parts of your experience can be explored openly and without judgment. I consider it a privilege to provide affirming care and support clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that have shaped their lives.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process and reduce the emotional impact of distressing memories, traumatic experiences, and negative beliefs that may continue to affect their current functioning. EMDR is used as part of a broader treatment approach to support clients in developing healthier perspectives, decreasing emotional distress, and moving toward lasting healing and growth.

Psychodynamic

I believe our experiences and relationships help shape the way we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. I enjoy helping clients explore these deeper patterns and connections, creating opportunities for greater self-understanding, meaningful insight, and lasting change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients explore the impact of past experiences while developing skills to manage emotional distress and navigate challenges more effectively. I appreciate its balance of processing difficult experiences and building resilience for the future.
