Ashley is no stranger to life’s struggles; she has had her fair share of trials and tribulations from surviving divorce, domestic/narcissistic abuse, loss of a parent, late in life career transition, and fertility issues. Using her life experiences and professional knowledge, Ashley aspires to help clients overcome life’s challenges and adversities. I understand that feelings such as fear, failure, and hopelessness can be overwhelming. I've personally experienced similar struggles such as divorce, death of a parent, fertility issues, and navigating through domestic abuse. Life can become difficult however, there is HOPE! I was once just surviving and now I am thriving. And YOU can too! It's important to remember that you don't have to bear the weight of the world and your struggles alone. I'm here to help you work through those challenges, and together we can work to build YOU a life filled with hope, peace, and happiness. Let's start this journey! As a Texas-based therapist, I specialize in treating trauma, narcissistic abuse, grief, anxiety, and depression, working with clients of all ages, including children 10+, teens, and adults, from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is an intake. During the session, I will gather information on therapy goals, symptoms, and background information such as medical health, previous treatment, family history. Also, I will explain the therapy process, review paperwork, and answer any questions you may have. Then I will create a treatment based on your mental health needs with your input.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a therapist is that I truly care about my clients! I love my job and being able to help others to overcome challenges in their lives! My goal is to give hope to others and that change can happen and one can live a happy life. My passion lies in helping others in achieving hope, happiness, and peace. I believe you deserve hope for healing and hope for happiness in your life. If you're struggling and experiencing difficulties in life and not sure what to do or how to begin, I am here for YOU! You don't have to navigate these challenges alone, and it is possible to overcome them with guidance and a little direction.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I focus on helping clients identify and change negative thought patterns that impact their emotions and behaviors. My approach includes cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, mindfulness and distress tolerance, and problem-soling strategies. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that empowers individuals to take control of their mental health by changing how they think and respond to situations.

Trauma Informed Care

I focus on helping clients process and heal from distressing experiences by integrating evidence-based techniques that promote resilience and emotional regulation. My approach includes, Recognizing the impact of trauma: I validate clients' experiences and help them understand how trauma affects their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Creating a safe therapeutic space: Establishing trust and emotional safety is essential for healing. Using trauma-focused interventions: Depending on the client's needs, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation, and Somatic Therapy to address trauma symptoms. Encouraging self-compassion and empowerment: I guide clients in developing coping strategies that foster resilience and personal growth.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

For Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I integrate a structured, skills-based approach to help clients manage intense emotions, build resilience, and improve relationships. My practice focuses on four core components: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

For Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), I focus on creating a non-directive, empathetic, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions freely. My approach is rooted in the core principles of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity, ensuring that clients feel heard, valued, and understood.

Psychoeducation

Provides clients with knowledge about psychological concepts to enhance their understanding and coping strategies.
