I’m Melissa Lapides, and my work centers around attachment. If you’re dating or in a relationship, we’re going to look at how your early experiences shaped the way you connect, protect, pursue, withdraw, or repeat the same patterns over and over. Together, we make sense of why you’re experiencing the challenges you’re having — not from a place of blame, but from understanding. I work with both individuals and couples to help them build more harmonious relationships rooted in emotional safety, secure connection, and real love and intimacy. When you understand your attachment style and nervous system, your relationship patterns stop feeling confusing and start feeling workable. I’m warm, direct, and grounded — think compassionate but honest. I’ll hold space for your pain, and I’ll also gently call you forward when you’re ready. I believe most struggles make sense in the context of your story and your nervous system, not because something is “wrong” with you. My goal is to help you feel more regulated, more connected, and more empowered in your relationships and your life. Healing doesn’t have to be dramatic — it can be steady, real, and deeply transformative.

Hi there, I primarily work in substance use recovery (abstinence and harm reduction) and trauma recovery. I also have specialized training in treating anxiety, depression, and sleep issues/insomnia. My treatment orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts, however the foundation of my early training was Psychodynamic. I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, STAIR (Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation), and Seeking Safety for trauma treatment. When treating anxiety, I take a CBT, or exposure approach with skill-building. For depression I utilize CBT concepts, or behavioral activation with skill-building. For sleep issues, I work with the CBT for insomnia treatment model. These are just a few examples of treatment approaches I utilize. I am relational focused, which to me means finding a plan that works best for you, practicing cultural humility and not trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. I look forward to working with you.

I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

Hello, I am Joann Silva, Life has a way of constantly throwing the unexpected at us. Do you believe you are not up to the challenges that are piling up? Do you think you are just recycling old life issues? Strategies that used to help you cope do not work or you have outgrown them? No issue is too small or too big. With over 45 years in this field, I believe I have encountered almost every kind of human trauma and can help you bring yourself back to peacefulness and joy in living. I have years of being a great listener - funny and heartfelt and skilled at helping my clients find their confidence and joy, and reset their resilience to tackle life's long list of hits. I am a student of nature and human nature. I will always look to help you see all of your health and strength and nature responses to stress. As you educate me about you and your life, and the things that work and do not work, we will put together the most ancient and newest wisdom and skills undo your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual struggles. We will work to lessen or eliminate those symptoms of distress called anxiety, depression and the myriad of other symptoms that are confusing and overwhelming. We will work to help you find your center, your peace, passion and use all of the past struggles to empower you again. My goal for each session is to lessen your stress or upset, to offer laughter to break up pain, to bring stories and wisdom to help with your concerns and new ways to master the internal and external challenges you are facing. I look forward to walking a bit with you down that road to a new joy.

I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work as a therapist. Living with a Bipolar I diagnosis has given me firsthand insight into the challenges of navigating mental health systems, stigma, and the ways these experiences can affect identity, relationships, and everyday life. This perspective allows me to meet each client with empathy, genuine curiosity, and respect for the meaning they make of their experiences. I am a shamanic clinician, which has been largely shaped and inspired by experiences with what’s often referred to as mania or psychosis. Perception is central to my therapeutic approach. Our histories, emotions, environments, and nervous-system states can all influence what we notice, how we interpret events, and how we respond. By exploring these patterns without judgment, I help clients expand their awareness, consider new perspectives, and develop greater choice in how they relate to themselves and the world around them. My professional experience includes psychiatric residential treatment, addiction medicine, youth detention, and private practice. I integrate somatic and sensory-based approaches (including brainspotting, meditation, drumming, sound therapy, aromatherapy, guided visualization, and shamanic-inspired practices) to support emotional processing and nervous-system regulation. I also emphasize nature, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and other foundations of whole-person wellness. From Grow Therapy's Leadership: "Based on your exceptional client engagement and outstanding care, you’ve officially qualified as a 2026 Grow Therapy Thriver! 🎉 (roughly 700 out of 25,000+ providers) This recognition reflects the meaningful relationships you build with clients from the start and the trust you inspire through your work. Hi there, I'm Dr. Evelyn Vasquez, and I currently ONLY work with people who operate under extraordinary occupational pressure, including first responders, veterans, medical providers, elite athletes, and other high-performing professionals who are under extreme pressure to help others. If you've been carrying the weight of your work, struggling with trauma, navigating performance anxiety, or feeling the strain in your relationships, I'm here to help. I also work with family members of the individuals mentioned above. I meet you where you are. I understand that therapy might feel uncomfortable or even risky in your world. My approach is about helping explore who you are, changing what you don't like, and giving you tools that actually work within the realities of your life. Whether you're working rotating shifts, managing a packed competition schedule, juggling court dates, or dealing with the unpredictability of emergency services, we will together to build your capacity to perform at your highest level. I bring some relevant background to our work together. As a former collegiate athlete, I've experienced performance pressure myself. My Master's in Homeland Security and experience in security and emergency management have given me insight into organizational cultures and operational realities. While I don't claim to know exactly what you've been through, I've worked extensively with people in your field, and I will learn about your specific experience from you. I specialize in evidence-based trauma treatments (Prolonged Exposure, CPT, and EMDR) that have strong track records for resolving PTSD, and I integrate performance psychology and resilience skills so you can move forward stronger. I also work with couples and families, because the demands of your career affect the people you care about most. If you're ready to address what's been weighing on you or even if you're just exploring whether therapy might help.

Hi, I’m Norma Elia Luna, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the therapist behind Sol de Luna Therapy. I provide warm, collaborative, trauma-informed therapy that integrates attachment-focused and somatic perspectives. I believe the patterns we struggle with often make more sense when we understand what they have been trying to protect us from. In our work, we may explore how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and nervous system responses continue to shape the way you experience yourself and the people around you today. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own needs and strengths, and develop new ways of responding that feel more aligned with the life and relationships you want.

Hi, I’m Colette, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I know starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I’m glad you’re here. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can feel safe to share your story and begin making sense of what you’re going through. Grief work is at the heart of my practice. Whether you’re coping with the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or a more personal kind of loss, I’m here to support you. I also work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, maternal mental health, and life transitions. In our work together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. We can look at patterns from the past, while also building tools to help you manage the present. I use mindfulness and CBT techniques to support you in understanding your thoughts and finding ways to cope with stress. In grief work, we may also create meaningful rituals or practices to honor your loved ones while caring for yourself. I believe it’s possible to hold both pain and joy, and I will support you in finding that balance. If you feel ready, I invite you to take the next step and schedule an appointment. I would be honored to work with you.

"Life is a journey, travel it well." I believe we're all on our own individual journeys of life that sometimes put us in valleys and sometimes on top of hills. When it comes to the valleys, sometimes it's alright to reach out to someone for a little guidance and help. Hi, my name is Ryan and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist. One of my favorite parts of my own journey has been navigating the complexities of young adult life stages from college, to work, romance and beyond. But whether or not it's life transitions or just a need for someone to journey along side you during a difficult time, I am here to help.

Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have been practicing for 15 years. In the past 7 years, I have engaged in doing short-term, goal-oriented therapy with adults. I have always thought that individuals (especially adults that seek out therapy willfully) have in them the potentials to rethink their situation and work towards resolving their concerns when provided the appropriate tools allowing them to clearly see and identify what their objective is at that time.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Spirituality, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
