I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

Hi! My name is Tomer, I'm a Psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, and I have been working in the field of psychology for the past 8 years. I graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and furthered my education at Antioch University- Los Angeles, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’ve had the privilege of working with different demographics in a wide range of therapeutic environments. I’ve worked with teens in the high school setting, with individuals struggling with substance abuse and eating disorders, as well as patients with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, toxic relationships, and co-dependency. As part of my private practice, I provide therapy to both individuals and couples online. I combine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic approach in my practice. With that said, I tailor the methods I use in treatment to each client's specific needs. My goal is to cultivate an authentic human connection with my clients by creating a safe and comfortable space for them to explore their underlying issues, promoting growth and change, in order to improve their quality of life.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now. I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for. Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you. For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible. No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you were taught to handle things on your own, prioritize your family, or keep difficult emotions to yourself. Maybe you’ve spent a lot of time being the “strong one,” trying to meet expectations, or figuring out how to balance who you are with who you’re expected to be. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of those experiences, and reconnect with yourself. I’m a Punjabi-American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing virtual therapy throughout California. I believe healing begins when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you can show up as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. I’m especially passionate about supporting adult children of immigrants as they navigate cultural identity, family expectations, relationships, boundaries, and major life transitions. I also work with adolescents (13+), adults, couples, and families from all backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and life stressors. As a Punjabi-American therapist, I understand how culture, family values, and generational experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves and our relationships. I approach this work with curiosity rather than blame, helping you explore the patterns and beliefs that have shaped you while identifying what you want to carry forward, and what you may want to do differently. You don’t have to know exactly what you need before starting therapy. Sometimes, the first step is simply giving yourself permission to explore what’s been weighing on you. Wherever you are in that process, I’m here to meet you there.

I’m Dr. Andy Davis, a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Thirteen of those years were spent serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. As a sex-positive therapist, I provide a safe and affirming environment for clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives without fear of judgment. My therapeutic style is both solutions-focused and rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should be proactive and goal-driven, helping clients not only gain insight but also develop strategies for change. Clients often describe me as direct and honest, while also compassionate and collaborative—I strive to give practical feedback and advice that can be applied both in and outside of sessions. I especially enjoy working with veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults. These groups often face unique challenges, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s complexities. In addition to my clinical work, I have an extensive background in clinical research. While serving in the Air Force, I conducted sleep studies and developed modern treatment approaches for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This research continues to inform my practice, and I place strong emphasis on developing healthy routines, quality sleep schedules, and consistent self-care as foundations for mental health. I often work with clients to build structure into daily life, recognizing these habits play a powerful role in resilience and long-term well-being. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face challenges, discover new perspectives, and build lasting resilience.

I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I have experience in many areas, including hospital, foster care, group homes, forensics, Veterans, home health, etc. I received my Masters of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve Univerity, and my Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. Although I have a doctorate degree, my scope of practice does not fall under psychological testing, pharmacological practices, nor community services. Hi there! Do you ever feel pulled in a million directions? Maybe it's hard to finish tasks, or you're struggling with relationships, work, or your health, and being kind to yourself feels impossible. You're not alone, and you don't have to figure it out by yourself. My goal is to walk alongside you as you face life's challenges, discover your strengths, and move toward real change, healing, and a greater sense of well-being. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 14 years of experience, and I help people with depression, anxiety, and addiction. I'm fluent in English, Farsi, and Pashto. I've traveled across Europe and lived in Asia and South America, and those experiences taught me how much a person's background and life story shape the way they think and feel. I bring that understanding into every session. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, caring, creative, and reliable, with a calm and steady presence. I take a relaxed approach to therapy, and you lead the way. In our first session, we'll start with a quick hello and get to know each other. Then we'll talk about a few of the challenges you're facing. I'll ask open questions and listen closely so I can understand what matters most to you. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. Sometimes it takes a few sessions to understand what's really going on underneath, and that's perfectly okay.

Hi, I’m Annie (she/her). I know how heavy life can feel when anxiety, depression, or past or ongoing trauma keep pulling you down—especially when you’ve spent years trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift on their own. If you’re neurodivergent, you may also be exhausted from navigating a world that wasn’t designed with your brain, sensitivity, or lived experiences in mind. In our work together, my intention is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Our sessions are less about quick fixes and more about deepening self-understanding, healing long-standing emotional wounds, and building relationships—with yourself and others—that feel steady, authentic, and grounding.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly based in Oakland, California. In 2017, I received my Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. I support folks 18+ in navigating trauma and self worth. As a Lebanese-American therapist, I aim to work with folks who are seeking the opportunity to re-examine their cultural storyline and get creative in unpacking their identity. Together, let’s challenge societal expectations and strive to center your authentic self. A little about me, personally: I identify as an artist and child of the earth, as diaspora has scattered my ancestors across the Arab world, Africa, Europe, and North America. I am fascinated by intersectionality and the powerful ways that resilience shapes our multi-hyphenate individuality. It is important that I take care of myself so that I can be a pillar of support to my clients. The way that I release painful feelings is by channeling them into creative projects. I also work hard to stay connected to my body and my surroundings. Whether it’s through writing, building clay sculptures, beading, or making collages, self-expression is a healing practice. I encourage everyone to play a little bit!

Before beginning my private practice, I worked in a range of clinical and community settings, including psychiatric facilities, community mental health programs, group rehabilitation homes, and correctional institutions. My experience includes supporting migrants, minors, and adults; individuals detoxing from drugs and alcohol; and clients participating in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy integration groups. I have had the privilege of working with people of all ages, gender identities, racial backgrounds, and mental health concerns. In my private practice, I currently focus on working with adults navigating the effects of complex trauma, depression, anxiety, major life transitions, existential questions, chronic illness, neurodivergence, and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Many of the therapeutic modalities I use are those that have deeply transformed my own life. I am passionate about sharing the tools and practices that have supported my healing, in service of others’ growth and our collective wellbeing. I also offer sliding scale options for those who need them—please don’t hesitate to reach out if this would make therapy more accessible for you. YES I DO TAKE KAISER! The option might not appear unless you have received a referral. Please contact four08-402-4385 or kaisersupport at growtherapy dot com for help with this process!

Hello, I'm Cameron and many of my clients are adults and couples who present as successful on the outside but internally struggle with burnout, anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, and/or feeling disconnected in their relationships. They find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, or unhealthy communication patterns that leave them feeling insecure or emotionally distant. I help individuals and couples heal and move forward and learn skills to feel more confident, connected, and emotionally secure.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over three decades of experience in mental health and clinical experience. I draw from 63 years of my own life experience as a gay man, educational (MSW from the University of Connecticut) and practical knowledge. Thus I understand what it’s like to be marginalized, and feel different like you don’t belong. I use a compassionate, non- judgmental, understanding, strength based approach by acknowledging and welcoming your whole person, body, mind, and spirit. I can help one understand who they are? where they've been? and how they can move forward in their life.

Hello! My name is Kishla Preston and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. I have been practicing for the past 12 years and have loved every moment of it. I have had the heart to help other since the age of 10. So much so, that, in high school, I ended up taking custody of the 2-month-old child of a family friend until he was age 2, while his mother gained stability. That being said, I have a special place in my heart for children, young adults and mothers. My personal goal for every client I meet is to make their lives a little bit better than it was before we found one another.

Hi there, I primarily work in substance use recovery (abstinence and harm reduction) and trauma recovery. I also have specialized training in treating anxiety, depression, and sleep issues/insomnia. My treatment orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts, however the foundation of my early training was Psychodynamic. I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, STAIR (Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation), and Seeking Safety for trauma treatment. When treating anxiety, I take a CBT, or exposure approach with skill-building. For depression I utilize CBT concepts, or behavioral activation with skill-building. For sleep issues, I work with the CBT for insomnia treatment model. These are just a few examples of treatment approaches I utilize. I am relational focused, which to me means finding a plan that works best for you, practicing cultural humility and not trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. I look forward to working with you.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Self Esteem, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
