Hi, I’m Jeff. Do you feel stuck, alone, or disconnected in your relationships, work, or overall well-being? I support adults navigating life changes, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and communication challenges. Together, we’ll explore what’s working and what isn’t, and find practical next steps that fit your needs and goals.

Through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach, I support people navigating 12-step recovery and other addiction recovery models.

I applaud your courage in exploring therapy and support. In a safe, compassionate space, we can work toward greater connection and a life that feels more satisfying to you. Let’s begin that journey together!

First session

In our first session, we will get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to work toward. We will review key parts of your intake, discuss practice policies and next steps, and make time for any questions you have. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. My aim is to help you feel welcome, supported, and more comfortable beginning your healing journey.

Strengths

I offer a compassionate, empowering space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. My experience includes supporting people through addiction recovery, including 12-step programs, and co-occurring mental health challenges. I also enjoy helping clients use music and other expressive arts to explore feelings and experiences that can be difficult to put into words. I’ve worked with adolescents, young adults, parents, caregivers, people with disabilities, employees, and organizational leaders. I approach each person with curiosity and respect, recognizing that your experiences and cultural identities are uniquely your own.

Ideal clients

I work well with adults, including younger adults, who are navigating substance use or addiction recovery and want to build practical coping skills they can apply to what’s happening in their lives. These may include mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, assertiveness, and self-compassion. I’m best suited to people who don't need medical detox or a higher level of care, such as intensive treatment. At this time, I work with individuals only, not minors or couples.

Treatment methods

Integrative

My approach is integrative, grounded in humanistic and existential values. I bring evidence-based methods together with authenticity, curiosity, and respect for your goals and lived experience. In our work, we’ll explore patterns and meaning, build insight and self-acceptance, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others—in and outside the therapeutic relationship.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I draw on DBT to help clients build practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, including assertive communication. We’ll explore how these skills can support connection with yourself and help you respond to difficult moments and relationships. I also incorporate mindful self-compassion to support self-acceptance, self-esteem, and a more nurturing relationship within yourself.

Strength-Based

My approach is strength-based: we’ll start where you are and recognize the strengths, skills, and supports you already draw on. Together, we can build on what’s working and explore new ways to move toward the changes that matter to you. I believe growth is possible at every stage, and we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

Polyvagal Therapy

I draw on polyvagal theory to help clients understand how the human nervous system responds to threat and supports connection. We can notice these responses with curiosity and practice skills that support regulation, a greater sense of agency, and more satisfying relationships.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I draw on parts-informed approaches to help you understand the different feelings, needs, and protective responses you may experience. Together, we’ll approach these parts with curiosity and compassion, explore what they may be trying to do for you, and strengthen your ability to respond from a grounded, caring place.
