I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

As part of my private practice, I provide therapy to both individuals and couples online. I combine the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic approach in my practice. With that said, I tailor the methods I use in treatment to each client's specific needs. I’m Dr. Andy Davis, a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Thirteen of those years were spent serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, and concerns related to sex and pornography addiction. As a sex-positive therapist, I provide a safe and affirming environment for clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives without fear of judgment. My therapeutic style is both solutions-focused and rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should be proactive and goal-driven, helping clients not only gain insight but also develop strategies for change. Clients often describe me as direct and honest, while also compassionate and collaborative—I strive to give practical feedback and advice that can be applied both in and outside of sessions. I especially enjoy working with veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and young adults. These groups often face unique challenges, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s complexities. In addition to my clinical work, I have an extensive background in clinical research. While serving in the Air Force, I conducted sleep studies and developed modern treatment approaches for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. This research continues to inform my practice, and I place strong emphasis on developing healthy routines, quality sleep schedules, and consistent self-care as foundations for mental health. I often work with clients to build structure into daily life, recognizing these habits play a powerful role in resilience and long-term well-being. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face challenges, discover new perspectives, and build lasting resilience.

I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I hope you have an opportunity to read my books and that I get to help you.

I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.

Hi, I’m Annie (she/her). I know how heavy life can feel when anxiety, depression, or past or ongoing trauma keep pulling you down—especially when you’ve spent years trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift on their own. If you’re neurodivergent, you may also be exhausted from navigating a world that wasn’t designed with your brain, sensitivity, or lived experiences in mind. In our work together, my intention is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Our sessions are less about quick fixes and more about deepening self-understanding, healing long-standing emotional wounds, and building relationships—with yourself and others—that feel steady, authentic, and grounding.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly based in Oakland, California. In 2017, I received my Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. I support folks 18+ in navigating trauma and self worth. As a Lebanese-American therapist, I aim to work with folks who are seeking the opportunity to re-examine their cultural storyline and get creative in unpacking their identity. Together, let’s challenge societal expectations and strive to center your authentic self. A little about me, personally: I identify as an artist and child of the earth, as diaspora has scattered my ancestors across the Arab world, Africa, Europe, and North America. I am fascinated by intersectionality and the powerful ways that resilience shapes our multi-hyphenate individuality. It is important that I take care of myself so that I can be a pillar of support to my clients. The way that I release painful feelings is by channeling them into creative projects. I also work hard to stay connected to my body and my surroundings. Whether it’s through writing, building clay sculptures, beading, or making collages, self-expression is a healing practice. I encourage everyone to play a little bit!

We are shaped by so much more than our individual experiences. Our families, relationships, culture, identities, communities, and the systems around us all influence how we learn to navigate the world. And sometimes, how we lose connection with ourselves along the way. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I want to understand not only what brings you to therapy, but what you’ve been carrying, what has shaped you, and what matters most to you. Together, we can slow down, make sense of your experiences, explore the patterns that may no longer serve you, and create space for something different. I work with youth, adults, and families navigating life transitions, relationships and family dynamics, emotional challenges, identity, and the impact of difficult or systemic experiences. As a second-generation Filipina-American and longtime mental health professional, I bring a culturally responsive and relational lens to my work, recognizing that healing rarely happens in isolation. Therapy with me is a space to be human. You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out, have the right words, or know exactly where to begin. My role is to meet you where you are, help you better understand yourself and your relationships, and support you in moving toward a life that feels more connected, intentional, and your own.

Hi there, I primarily work in substance use recovery (abstinence and harm reduction) and trauma recovery. I also have specialized training in treating anxiety, depression, and sleep issues/insomnia. My treatment orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts, however the foundation of my early training was Psychodynamic. I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, STAIR (Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation), and Seeking Safety for trauma treatment. When treating anxiety, I take a CBT, or exposure approach with skill-building. For depression I utilize CBT concepts, or behavioral activation with skill-building. For sleep issues, I work with the CBT for insomnia treatment model. These are just a few examples of treatment approaches I utilize. I am relational focused, which to me means finding a plan that works best for you, practicing cultural humility and not trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. I look forward to working with you.

I’m Alexandra Irish, an LMFT and LPC with over a decade of experience working in the mental health field and six years of experience as a therapist. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of needs, including individuals involved in mental health and drug court programs, high school students, veterans, and clients in private practice. Over the past three years, I have focused on building my private practice with the goal of creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. I started my private practice to create greater balance for my family while continuing to pursue my passion for providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves and working toward the life they want.

My ideal client is someone coping with anything from daily stressors to severe mental illness—feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or simply stuck. They may be navigating complex relationships, the aftereffects of trauma, or struggling with symptoms that disrupt their sense of self. Some may have tried therapy before; others are seeking a fresh, compassionate approach. What they share is a hope for change, a desire for clarity, and the drive to find new ways forward—whether that's healing, understanding themselves, or just feeling “okay” again. As a seasoned therapist with advanced NMT training and a passion for innovation, I use a person-centered, solution-focused approach, blending therapeutic modalities to fit your unique needs. Fluent in English, Tagalog, and conversational Mandarin, I provide support that is compassionate, adaptable, and culturally sensitive. If you want to be met with both expertise and genuine care, you’re in the right place. I embrace individuality and creative problem-solving, helping clients find hope even in tough situations. We'll collaborate closely—finding what works for you—so you never face challenges alone.

Welcome! My name is Lorrie! Life can be challenging and complicated. Choosing a therapist doesn’t have to be. I believe that building a safe, nurturing, genuine, open, and honest therapeutic relationship with you is the best way to connect. First, I will help you figure out what you want and why. Together, we will work to explore areas of your life that are challenging to set you on a path of happiness, fulfillment, and purpose. You don't have to go through this alone. Are you tired of relapsing?? Tired of struggling to stay sober?? My experience in the field of Substance Abuse allowed me the privilege of helping those struggling with addiction and mental health disorders as well as their families. I have worked in this field for the past nineteen years and it has given me a compassionate perspective for those struggling to get and stay sober. I am enthusiastic and passionate about helping you find unique and creative solutions to problems. Parents, would you like some peace in your home? Are you tired of the lying and manipulation? Need support dealing with a teen with addiction issues? I can help.

Do you feel overwhelmed by every day life? Are you dealing with negative thoughts that keep you from feeling your best? Do you struggle with self-care and self-compassion? Together we can identify how to help you feel in control of your thoughts, feelings and actions again. We will work towards increasing your ability to cope with difficult feelings or stressful life events and get you back on track with managing the different parts of your life. We will use mindfulness practices including meditation and gratitude to help you feel grounded and centered. Let's remember to be kind to ourselves! My experience includes working with children as young as 5, teenagers and adults. I have 14 years of experience working with teenagers as a high school counselor. I enjoy bringing art and play into sessions to help build a variety of skills and insight. Reaching out for help in any capacity can be a difficult task, especially when it comes to mental health. I am here to help and I will work toward creating a safe space for you to feel seen and heard. I will use a cognitive behavioral approach (understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors) as well as other evidence-based practices to best support your needs.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Trauma and PTSD, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
