I have been in this field for over 20 years and love this work! My passion is about helping people discover and create the lives they want to live and fulfill their soul's calling for a more meaningful life. I graduated with my first masters in Counselling Psychology in 2004 and I just completed my second masters in Jungian Studies. I also practice and implement Ecopsychology into my therapeutic work with clients as I believe our reciprocal connection to the natural world can be profoundly supportive for our growth and healing. I have provided clinical supervision and also worked as a supervisor for behavioral health teams for a County government agency in California for about 15 years.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I will be asking multiple clarifying questions to assess for all your symptoms and presenting issues as we get to know each other. I will be taking more notes during this first session and guiding more than in subsequent sessions so that we can work together to identify and clarify your goals for your treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mature and self-reflective therapist with over 20 years of experience, my aim is to meet each individual where they are and facilitate desired growth through insight, trust and compassion.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have worked with clients across the lifespan from infancy to elder adulthood, couples, teens and families, and also provided therapy to clients dealing with multiple issues from depression, anxiety as well as trauma and substance use, with trauma informed care as a central foundation in my work.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am EMDR trained and have been integrating EMDR techniques for the last 5 years especially in my work with clients who have experienced trauma or are dealing with anxiety.

Jungian

I integrate Jungian, or Depth psychology, in all my work with clients as I believe this method gets to the heart of ongoing and longstanding life issues and problems, but most importantly, helps us uncover our life purpose and meaning so that we may refocus in this direction.

Somatic

Somatic therapy methods can significantly inform therapeutic growth and I implement this treatment into my sessions whenever possible. As I was a massage therapist for over 27 years, reading the body and incorporating the voice of our body is a natural part of my work in therapy.

Couples Counseling

Relationships are a significant part of our lives and also key to our greatest growth as individuals as part of our individuation process. I enjoy working with couples to help facilitate this growth as well as deepen and improve the partnership with the goal of helping us become the partner we would want to be with.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing techniques can be very helpful in helping clients focus in on what their issues/problems are plan for change.
