New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California, and I help adults navigate burned out, anxiety, and life transitions. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My approach combines evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with mindfulness techniques, helping you build practical tools while also understanding the deeper patterns that keep you stuck. In our sessions, you can expect a space that is both compassionate and practical-no nodding silently for 50 minutes. I'm here to help you get back to feeling like yourself, only more grounded and resilient. I offer secure, convenient virtual therapy throughout California. Please, reach out to see if we are a good fit.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is for introductions, understanding what brings them to therapy, and setting initial goals. I will ask about your current struggles, personal history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. The first session may feel more like an interview, which will differ from subsequent, more open-ended sessions. We will discuss confidentiality, office policies, and logistical details. You will ask questions about my approach and to let me know what you are comfortable sharing. There is no pressure to share everything immediately, but you may want to jot down key points you want to discuss.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have always been fascinated by human resilience. I believe that in spite of all negative events and situations in our lives, we can grow and overcome them, using our inner strengths. I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive space for clients of all backgrounds. My practice is built on maintaining strict confidentiality and fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment. I know that no two clients are the same, so I adapt my approach to fit your unique needs and goals. I regularly engage in training and supervision to ensure I'm using the most up-to-date and effective techniques.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Racing thoughts, heavy breathing, constant worries, or panicky modes… If your anxiety feels like a constant hum in the background-or roar when you try to sleep-you are not alone. Many of my clients are high achievers in the Bay Area or LA County struggling to balance intense professional pressure with their personal lives, often feeling like ‘imposter syndrome’ is taking over.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a type of talking therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts (cognition) and actions (behavior) affect your feelings (emotions). It's designed to help you change unhelpful patterns to improve how you feel, focusing on solving problems in your present life rather than just talking about the past.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is a type of talk therapy designed to help people who experience intense emotions—emotions that often feel like they are on a volume knob of 10/10. It focuses on learning practical, daily skills to manage those feelings, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and build a 'life worth living'"
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
"ACT is less about making anxiety or sadness go away, and more about getting you unhooked from those thoughts and feelings so you can move in a direction that is truly important to you."
