Hi, I’m Ashley. I’m a therapist who specializes in supporting individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence‑based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET). I work to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move at your own pace. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape how you feel today, and we’ll build practical tools to help you move toward healing, clarity, and a greater sense of control in your life. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and support you in getting where you want to be.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you get to set the pace, and we’ll move in a way that feels safe and manageable for you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your history, your current concerns, and what support looks like for you. We’ll also talk through the different approaches I use—such as CBT, CPT, Written Exposure Therapy, and supportive therapy—so you have a clear sense of how we might work together. Most importantly, the first session is a chance for you to get a feel for my style. I show up authentically and with genuine care, and I want you to feel that this is a space where you can be yourself. By the end of the session, we’ll have a shared understanding of your goals and a plan for how we’ll move forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my authenticity and relatability. I show up as a real person in the room—someone who listens with genuine care, speaks with honesty, and creates a space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen and understood, so I work to build a connection that feels human, supportive, and grounded. Clients often share that they appreciate my down‑to‑earth style and the way I make difficult conversations feel approachable and manageable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they’re not entirely sure what that change looks like yet. They may be carrying the weight of trauma, navigating depression or anxiety, or working to rebuild a sense of safety and trust after painful experiences. They’re often thoughtful, self‑aware, and tired of feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, but they’re open to exploring their story with honesty and curiosity. They value a therapeutic space that feels warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental—somewhere they can show up fully as themselves. They appreciate a therapist who can blend evidence‑based approaches like CBT, CPT, and Written Exposure Therapy with the steady, validating presence of supportive therapy, helping them feel understood and emotionally held as they work through difficult material. My ideal client is someone who wants to feel more empowered, more connected, and more in control of their life. They don’t need to have everything figured out—they just need to be willing to take the first step, knowing they’ll have a compassionate partner walking alongside them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have extensive experience providing trauma-focused therapy to individuals impacted by sexual trauma, childhood abuse, and intimate partner violence. I primarily use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment that helps clients identify and shift unhelpful beliefs related to their trauma, reduce distress, and rebuild a sense of safety, trust, and self-worth. In my work, I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where survivors can move at their own pace, regain a sense of control, and begin to reconnect with parts of themselves that may have felt lost or silenced by trauma. My approach is collaborative and culturally responsive, honoring each person’s unique story, strengths, and lived experience as we work together toward healing and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals experiencing depression and anxiety. My approach focuses on helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand how those thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and develop practical skills to create meaningful change in their daily lives. Through structured, collaborative sessions, I guide clients in building healthier coping strategies, challenging negative beliefs, and increasing emotional resilience. My goal is to empower each person with tools they can use long after therapy ends, fostering greater stability, confidence, and overall well‑being

Narrative

I have specialized experience using Written Exposure Therapy (WET) to support individuals healing from trauma. WET is a structured, evidence‑based approach that helps clients process traumatic experiences through guided writing sessions, allowing them to confront and reduce trauma‑related distress at a pace that feels manageable. In my work, I create a supportive, grounded environment where clients can safely explore their narratives, decrease avoidance, and build a greater sense of emotional clarity and control. This approach is especially helpful for individuals seeking an effective, time‑limited treatment that promotes meaningful symptom reduction and long‑term resilience.
