About me

I provide straightforward, collaborative therapy for adults and adolescents who are ready to actively engage in the process. My style is warm, direct, practical, and grounded in the belief that therapy involves work both in and outside of sessions. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship patterns, boundaries, life transitions, and self-esteem while building skills they can actually use in everyday life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a full clinical intake where we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your history, current concerns, goals, and what you want to change. I’ll also assess whether my approach and scope are a good fit for your needs. Please complete all required Grow portal tasks before your appointment. Intake time is reserved for clinical care rather than completing administrative paperwork. I value consistency and active participation in therapy. My schedule often fills quickly, so clients are responsible for scheduling and maintaining their appointments through Grow. Therapy works best when it is treated as an ongoing commitment rather than something we squeeze in when life happens. My practice provides individual outpatient therapy through insurance. I do not provide court-ordered, court-mandated, custody-related, forensic, or other court-related services, and I do not provide formal psychological, diagnostic, disability, ADHD, autism, or other specialized evaluations or testing. Couples therapy is available by private pay only at $250 per session and is not billed through insurance.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m not a therapist who will simply nod along for 50 minutes. I’ll listen, validate what needs validating, ask direct questions, identify patterns, and respectfully challenge you when something is keeping you stuck. My approach combines compassion with accountability. We may use CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness, narrative work, and trauma-informed care depending on your needs. I want you to understand not only what you’re feeling, but what is maintaining the pattern and what you can begin doing differently.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents and adults who want more than a place to vent. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, struggle with boundaries or self-esteem, or be navigating trauma, grief, depression, or a major life transition. You do not need to have everything figured out, but you should be willing to show up consistently, reflect honestly, practice new skills, and actively participate in your treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize connections between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and recurring patterns. We identify what may be keeping you stuck and develop practical strategies for responding differently. I use CBT collaboratively rather than as a one-size-fits-all worksheet approach, incorporating insight, skill-building, and real-life application.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can speak openly and be understood without judgment. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, while my role includes helping you notice patterns, asking difficult questions when needed, and supporting meaningful change. Empathy and accountability can exist in the same room.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes safety, choice, collaboration, and respect for each client’s boundaries. We explore how past experiences may influence current emotions, relationships, beliefs, and coping patterns without forcing disclosure or trauma processing. The goal is to build stability, awareness, and practical tools while moving at a clinically appropriate pace.

Too much silence and not enough feedback after I shared my experiences.

Natalie is good at bringing out issues that bother me, without seeming heavy-handed in her approach. Also appreciate her sense of humor, even in the face of adversity, something I definitely need right now.
