Hi there! I'm Purvi, I specialize in trauma and anxiety, and I integrate EMDR, Written Exposure Therapy, CBT, and somatic-based approaches to help clients process past experiences and feel more grounded in their bodies. I also place a strong emphasis on building coping skills you can actually use in your day-to-day life, not just talk about in session. Education is also a big part of how I work. I believe understanding how the brain responds to trauma, anxiety, and stress makes change feel more possible and less overwhelming. When you know what’s happening beneath the surface, you can start responding with intention instead of self-criticism.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, I'll get to know a little about you and your history along with what made you want to seek help. We will then go over the basics of what to expect during out time together, and discuss your goals for treatment!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I like to incorporate a bit of humor (only when necessary and appropriate) because sometimes, cracking a joke or two is more helpful than saying "And how does that make you feel?"

I work with clients who want to understand why they feel the way they do, not just how to make symptoms go away. My ideal client is an adult with a history of trauma who is ready for change, seeking real relief and coping skills that truly help them move forward. No matter what you’ve been through, I’m here to sit with you and support your healing.
EMDR
I am trained through the EMDR Institute and use EMDR to help you expand your ability to cope, process difficult memories, and seek relief from previous traumas.
