Welcome! Reaching out is a meaningful first step and I'm glad you're here. I support adults of all ages who are navigating anxiety, chronic stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, issues with boundaries, communication and self-esteem, and healing from past wounds/trauma. I also offer a space to process infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting challenges. In our sessions together, we'll cultivate insight, self-compassion, and practical strategies to help you feel more present and grounded, build fulfilling relationships, let go of patterns that no longer serve you and feel more aligned with your authentic self.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first few sessions, I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what your hopes and goals are for our time together. We'll take time to listen to your story at a pace that feels right for you, making sure you feel as comfortable as possible. I'll help you to identify the strengths and resources you already have, as well as a plan for moving forward toward your goals. I offer virtual (telehealth) sessions. Sessions are conducted using an online video meeting platform, last about 50-60 minutes long, and are usually scheduled to repeat weekly at a time convenient for you. Sessions can also be scheduled more or less frequently depending on your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I feel privileged to be able to walk alongside people in their journeys towards healing and growth. I strive to create a warm, grounded, and open space where clients feel truly seen, valued, supported and free to bring their whole selves. My background in community mental health, school-based clinics, and expressive arts therapy informs a flexible and creative approach that honors the unique identities, experiences, and communities each person brings to the room.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply exhausted from holding it all together. Maybe you're navigating a life transition or the weight of anxiety, burnout, or low self-esteem. Relationships may feel strained by challenges with communication, boundaries or emotional triggers. You might be holding the pain and uncertainty of an infertility journey or facing the overwhelming emotions and identity shift of becoming a parent. Maybe you’re looking to heal old wounds that keep showing up in your sense of yourself and your connection with others. Whatever you’re carrying, you’re not alone—and there’s a path forward.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered, collaborative and strengths-based approach, gently guiding people to access their own inner wisdom, resilience and capacity for growth. I listen deeply, provide a nonjudgmental, compassionate space to explore, and reflect your experiences with empathy to create new opportunities for clarity and holistic change.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I hold a socio-cultural frame, seeking to understand how cultural, systemic and historical contexts may be impacting your experience. I welcome you to bring your whole self and identity, and value your unique connection to your ethnicity, culture, community, gender, sexuality, and spirituality/faith.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I often draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, explore more supportive ways of responding, and learn practical strategies for coping with challenges.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness practices as tools to help you build self-awareness, notice you inner experience with curiosity, and build a more compassionate and non-judgmental attitude toward thoughts and feelings. This awareness can support people in feeling more present, grounded, connected to themselves, and better equipped to navigate life's ups and downs.
Experiential Therapy
If you’re interested in creative methods of therapy, I am also trained as an Expressive Arts Therapist and can weave art, music, movement, dance, poetry, writing and drama to support your process. The creative process allows us to explore our inner world in embodied, whole-brain ways beyond talking and thinking and can create opportunities for self-discovery, emotional release, clarity, and integration. No artistic skills needed—just a willingness to engage in the creative process and explore in a safe and supportive environment.
